I'm adressing the rabid Twilight fãs if they would listen. I'm also adressing the common fãs of both sides of this debate.

There are some things one may and may not do in a formal debate unless one wants to look like - pardon the language - a freaking donkey.

Nr 01: One may not argue against the debaters points por attacking him or her. This is called argumentum ad hominem and is a fallacy. For example: If I am to argue that free elections is wrong and states that the arguer is an imbecile that does not deserve the right to vote, then I have committed a severe personal attack and will be frowned upon in future debates. Do. Not. Attempt. This (Unless one wants to be disrespected).

Nr 02: One may not bring up a point repeatedly on a non-stop basis until every one else is tired and gives up, giving the person an easy victory. This also applies to a group of arguers. This is defined as argumentum ad nauseam and is not good for ones side if ones opponents gets tired and leaves. The person may have won but the audience is gone. Much pointless, right?

Nr 03: Respect is not freely given, it is Earned por virtue of the persons ability to argue civily and coming with witty arguments. This is a debate, not the persons own bubble where every one likes him or her. To quote Herbert Spencer: “This survival of the fittest, which I have here sought to express in mechanical terms, is that which Mr. Darwin has called 'natural selection', or the preservation of favoured races in the struggle for life." If one cannot debate civily, one will not gain the upper hand in it and will almost certainly be trampled over por other debaters in the struggle for victory.

Nr 04: Grammar. Proper grammar and spelling will go a long way in helping one earn his/her fellow debaters respect. Spelling ones argument in all upper case letters makes the person look - pardon me again for the language - a whiny, screaming child. This Is irritating.
Alternatives for emphasising are: Using. Periods. Like. This. Spelling the first letter in a word in uppercase adds emphasis too, like the examples above. Italising and bolding or underlining will serve the same purpose.

Nr 04.I: Leetspeak. I cannot emphasise enough that Leetspeak and it's kind is a irritation to Some people. If some are to decipher others messages using up their precious time, they will not respond to it, instead, that person will probably met with ignorance.

Nr 05: Argument from silence. This occurs when one person is asked why he/she dislikes something and tries to divert the subject or keeps quiet. The questioner will then assume almost certainly that the person has not experienced what he/she is being asked, again making the questioned person look like a - pardon - fool.

Nr 06: Non sequitur. When proposing an argument, ones conclusion Must follow from ones statements, otherwise the persons argument is unsupported and may be torn down like bare scaffolding. Example below:
The term [Non sequitur] is often used in everyday speech and reasoning to describe a statement in which premise and conclusion are totally unrelated but which is used as if they were. An example might be: "If I buy this cell phone, all people will amor me." However, there is no actual relation between buying a cell phone and the amor of all people. This kind of reasoning is often used in advertising to trigger an emotional purchase.

Nr 07: One must always support their opinion with Facts. Failure in doing so will make the person look like he/she must resort to - pardon me - SHOUTING and cavemen tactics (clobbering others) to win debates. This will not be acceptable (unless one wants to look like a caveman).

I hope that this will improve some of the "debaters present"'s appalling lack of reason in their arguments and I thank you for taking your precious time in leitura this. I hope it helped.

I made a list of combined and possible plot holes about Harry Potter. Some of them I came up with myself, and some of them I got from different places online. If you can give explanation answering the perguntas ,do it please.
I purposely put in a few really really picky pergunta because there are a lot of artigos about Twilight like this, so I want to see how Harry Potter fãs respond to the ridiculously picks questions. I'm not going to tell you which ones they are, but they should be easy to pick out.

1. Bella is a perfect character (“Mary Sue”), which Meyer hides por calling her clumsy.
2. Being clumsy is not a flaw if Edward always catches her.
3. She can’t do anything without Edward.
4. And when he leaves she attempts to commit suicide.
5. Meyer is living out her own fantasies por composição literária about Bella, who is clearly herself.
6. The books aren’t well written, just because every other word is a fancy adjective doesn’t make it good writing.
7. All the rules Meyer sets for being a vampire are broken por the end of the...

116. "BTW Twilight is the bestest film ever" I get really frusterated when soomebody compares the films instead off the movies. And whats worse is that you arent giving any reasons. "Stop hating, pick-up Twilight, actually read it and you will amor it and stop hating Twilight". Has it ever occurred to you that twilight haters have read the whole series? Like me? "HP is all around boring and it is made for younger children". I dont understand how Harry Potter can be so boring. Maybe you didnt keep up with the amount of action and romance and magic and the mystery. Or maybe you didnt read...

So, once there was this girl - well, actually that girl still is - but anyway, this girl who we'll call Emma, for the purposes of now. (Well, actually, we'll call her that because it's her name. But you get the point.)

Around two, two and a half years ago, when Emma was in sixth grade, one of her friends - let's call her K, if she must have a name - was leitura a book that looked rather interesting. It was black, with a shiny hard cover, and had an maçã, apple on the front. It was called Houkutus, which translates to Temptation. Emma liked the name and thought it might prove an interesting read, but...

I discovered these song spoofs in my composição literária folder from my "Uber-Anti" stage, and I decided to share it with you guys, for the sake of nostalgia and whatnot.

Dumb Isabella (spoof on Umbrella por Rihanna)-

You wanna be, a sparkly Meyer-pire like me
Maybe in your dreams, but never in reality
Until you agree, to take my hand and marry me
And that's when you’ll want me there
to turn you into a vampire
Because

[Chorus]
You’re a stupid Sue who wants us together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your bitch
Took an oath I regret, you crazy witch
Now it's raining mais than ever
But we’re...

Well I've been composição literária a little fanfic recently and I realized that when I write fanfic, I mostly let my character's handle the plot. Whatever happens to pop in my head at the time, and doesn't go completely against the no geral, global story line, gets put in the fanfic.
But Smeyer says that she wrote Twilight por just "letting her characters handle the plot". There por making it seem a lot like how, not only I, but other people, write fã fiction.
I decided to look up some reasons of what makes a good fã fiction:
"1. Choose the anime/manga/book/video game/movie you want your fan-fic to be about." Vampire's...

Okay, my friend and I go to a school that has a thing called 'Lit Circles'. There's a list of books, and Twilight is on there, but not Harry Potter. My friend thought this was totally wrong, and wrote a super long persuasive essay to our English teacher about it. This was all hers, and I can't take credit for how awesome it is :)

Why Twilight Should Be Replaced por Harry Potter in Lit Circles

Two books sit on the shelf in front of you; on the cover of the first, you see two pale hands holding a deep red apple. The segundo features a young boy on a broomstick, in midair as...

Dear Stephenie Meyer,

May I first tell you that your 'Saga' is complete and utter crap. I also would like to highlight the fact that your 'books' are an insult to literature and vampires.
When leitura them at first, I thought that they were quite good, and for a while I was a Twilight fan, but your fanbase has gotten huge, along with your head. This is one of the reasons I don't like Twilight. I've read other points on why Twilight and the rest of the 'saga' are bad, and I fully agree with the points raised. The points that I have read about have made me realise how bad Twilight and the rest...

Okay sorry Twilikers. But you need to here the facts. Harry Potter is the best selling serous ever. Deathly Hallows is the fasting selling book ever.

Okay. So why is it when I type in "100 resons Twilight is better then Harry Potter" there is one vpage and for a start there aren't even a hundred resons. Most of them all same the same thing. Twiilight's better because everyone's hot. They are??. Good readers tend not to notice.

It's a amor story. So is Harry Potter but it's not full in your face. It comes in gentle as the charcters get older, as the books mover on. And have you seen all the different...
