i need help with character choice

okay so i have a best friend her name is Tracy and we all have characters in the hunger games and 90210 and that stuff but we want characters in this now we have a problem.
i'm one of a 3
my one friend aid she could be elena but i want to be elena too it's really hard because i was bella and she was cassie (the secret circle)and buffy.
because we're a 3 she's carly the other sam.
and now the stuff i'm lead in no one else watches she says she loves damon, but when i see him everything feels better i dont need to be ashamed of who i amlike he loves me back like it's all better.
i watched some of series one then stopped a while because my family roubou the tv and im watching series 3 we both are please help.???
