I know you folks are tired of hearing about crediting images. I'm not here to beat that into your head yet again. I've already done that... and I continue to do it in comments on your imagens when you forget.
No. This time I am here to give you a helpful tip. A lot of you have paid attention and are now putting a credit on your images. Thank you for that! The problem now is a lack of film knowledge, which is very forgivable.
You see, when it comes to movies, forget what I said earlier about crediting the website you got the image from if you can't find the actual owner of the image. With movies, that goes out the window.
You see, when it comes to movie stills, the original Studio retains the rights to all imagens from the movie.
Don't start groaning. This actually makes things easier for you! I promise!

That's all ya need. Oh not as a credit, but as the number one resource for finding which studio owns the rights to the movie (and the screen shots.)
No mais having to copy and paste numerous websites during your mad screenshot spree. Just go to imdb and look up the studio that released the film. Bam. Done. That credit goes on all those images.
Now obviously if a shot has been artistically altered then yeah keep putting who altered it... I think.
Me, I try to go with the studio when in doubt. They are the ones with the big legal armas who could cause problems for fanpop in the future... and likely the person over on facebook or Myspace who put cute little words on those imagens did not get the Studio's permission to do so. It's just safer from a legal standpoint to always credit the studio ;)
There. That wasn't so painful, now was it?

Big news! I, personally have sent an application for a new artigo for fanpop on Wikipedia! Hopefully, within the month, fanpop will have a Wikipedia artigo for you all to check out and add onto! Additionally, this may help make fanpop mais well known.
Boy, I can almost TASTE it- a big, beefy record of history about Fanpop's past, present, and future!
