How do you take screencaps?

I know this is sort of a spammy question, but I really can't figure out how to take a screencap. I tried pressing prnt screen and going on paint but it won't work... D:

Please help! D:

Which operating system are you running on your system? Which version? Some versions of Windows work differently, and other operating systems all do.

Press Print-Screen. Go on Paint. Press Ctrl and V to paste the image. Do a bit of cutting (like cropping, but mais complicated) if neccessary and then press Ctrl and S to save the image. For higher quality, save the image as a PNG.

I've done this to take screenshots from YouTube videos. I know this will work.
