Some people have suggested that this isn't normal behavior, though: anything less than adding a LOT is essentially a quickie creator in their minds and is somehow neglecting my duty. The thing is, I've created way too many spots to do that and have any life outside of Fanpop, so what I do is: 1) create the spot 2) add several links to the spot 3) return to the spot periodically to see how it is progressing and add more content Granted, I'm not as systematic as I should be, so some spots go for longer periods without my adding more content than others. It's hard to be fair that way, though, because I'm still making new spots from time to time... posted over a year ago.

I am not saying it is wrong, just saying I don't understand it. I make a Spot when I have some stuff I want to add and there is nowhere to put it yet. I get tweaked slightly when I go to make a Spot and then find it sitting there already made and empty. It is my understanding that the Spot Creator has a slight edge on the medal earning... not that those medals are of any value, but yeah. heh. So, the maker in those cases screwed me a bit for no good reason. you see? Plus, I then have no control over the icon or banner. I am currently fairly miffed over such a spot (not yours, Harold) where the only member was the person who had created it and he refuses to respond the request for an icon and banner addition. He had added one video. Period. This person is still active on Fanpop, he just refuses to respond to me. Annoying as hell, that. guess I'll have to bug Dave yet again for no good reason. posted over a year ago.
