Don't worry, Laxus is way, waaaay mais powerful than Natsu. The reason why Natsu defeated Laxus was because Laxus was caught off guard when he found Fairy Law wasn't working. He didn't have a relaxed mind anymore and let anger/denial take over. This resulted in his defeat. That and Natsu's plot armor was the reason why Natsu won.
Laxus is way stronger. Natsu defeated him because Gajeel was there, Fairy Law failed and honestly... Laxus was caught off guard. And also he fought Erza and Mystogan before h fought Natsu (Not to mention charging up those Lacrimas to make the Thunder Palace) But when Laxus came back he was able to take down Purehito who dominated over Natsu, Wendy, Gray, Lucy and ERZA! Sure they were worn out but honestly ... Those guys together are undefeatable. Sure Natsu was the one to finish off Purehito but that was because Laxs was hit por the spell/magic and couldn't fight anymore. And he was saying that someone from FT should get revenge not him. PLUS! Laxus gave Natsu his lightning flame mode which... Is now Natsu's ultimate spell. IN the rematch between Laxus and Natsu (Gajeel but he ran away) Laxus was able to knock Natsu out cold.
