Why do you think Gajeel is tough and confident? I mean......confident in battles and tought to other members......even with Levy?

Well, I guess it's because he's a IRON dragon slayer. And I also think it's because the first person/dragon he ever cared about left when he was really young. That sort of prompts a person to build up walls around himself . Plus, when he was in Phantom Lord he was part of the Elemental Four, the highest class of guild members in the guild. He's used to being the best, which explains why he's so cocky and confident. He still is one of the best in Fairy Tail so that particular trait has remained intact.

I think It's because he was in Ph. Lord and acted like that for a lot of time but I also think that he's change deep in he's heart.For example in the begining he hurt Levy but after a while he entered Fairy Tail when he was with Levy at the S-class test and those guys from Gr. coração tried to hurt her he protected her!
