The wait is over, evanescence is back! On the 4th of November in NYC, just over 1000 people gathered into the tiny Manhatten ballroom, for a one time performance that sold out in just 5 minutes.
Extatic fãs screamed a chant that hasn't been heard in 2 years "EVAN ES CENCE, EVAN ES CENCE". The Band played some of there old material from there first and segundo albums 'fallen' and 'The open door'
Sources say "The anguish in Lee’s voice was palpable, and the band skillfully replicated live what they do on tape." - Rolling stones
fãs described the performance as "The best she's ever sang" and "flawless, and Amazing"
Amy thanked the fãs for being so supportive for so long, and promised that new material was on the way. The band held the 'secret show' in NYC, as a warm up for the 40,000 fãs that they will be playing for in Brazil on the 8th of November. (you lucky Brazilians) hehe. :)Evanescecne had fill-in guitarist James Black, from 'Finger Eleven' play with them on the night. People described his performance as "Tight sounding and mesmerizing"
Although it was only a small show, the fãs are feeling it was the best show they had ever witnessed. "The show, concerto was definitely the best EV show, concerto I've been to, Amy as well as the rest of the band blew me away" - A fã states. "And it felt sort of surreal seeing them play after so long". Everyone was blown away por the show, and fãs are extremely excited for the Brazil performance, and the new album coming in 2010. Seems like the 'Permanent Hiatus' they were presumably on, was infact a rumor, thank Goodness! Will write a follow up of there performance in Brazil as soon as the info hits me....stick around :)
