“Let me guess. Is it Laura Quackson?” Minnie said
A little surprised that Minnie knew who it was, Scrooge replied. “Aye, Laura Quackson. But how do you know that?”
“It’s a long story, I’ll tell you when I get there.” She said. Then ran out to her car and started off for McDuck Mansion.
Meanwhile over at Donald’s house, the guys sat out in the living room eating pizza, breadsticks and wings and drinking sodas, while watching a football game. They were all having a good time, expect for Mickey. He sat on the sofá filled with anger, thinking awful thoughts about Scrooge and Minnie. “Donald did you know that on topo, início of stealing my girl, your cheapskate uncle is now accusing me of keying his limo just so I’ll pay for the damages?” Mickey said as he glared over at Donald.
“Oh Mickey…” Donald groaned, “Give it a rest Uncle Scrooge is not dating Minnie.”
“I can’t imagine Uncle Scrooge lying to get you to pay for something.” Huey said
“Me nether.” Dewey said
“He is stingy, but he’d never lie to get out of paying for something.” Louie added
“He did lie to me, and he is dating her!” Mickey shouted, “Didn’t you guys see the fotografias of them in the paper?!”
“Yup, Maxie showed me those fotografias this morning when he brought the paper in.” Goofy replied, “Told him it’s likely just somebody trying to make Scrooge look bad.”
“Yes, I saw them.” Donald grumbled, “And Goofy’s right it’s obviously one of Uncle Scrooge’s business rivals is trying to make him look bad. I see fotografia shopped pictures of him all the time.”
“Well of course you’d be on his side, he is your uncle!” Mickey shouted”
Max spoke-up, “Yeah Mickey, I’m with dad and Donald. It’s likely just somebody trying to make him bad.”
“See…” Donald said, “Nobody believes those stupid photos. Now shut-up so we can watch the game!”
“Fine!” Mickey growled. Then he slumped down on the sofá and continued to think angry thoughts for the rest of the game.
As soon as the game ended the evening news started. Mickey was deep in thought, and not paying any attention, in till he heard the news reporter say, “Today the richest pato in world, Scrooge McDuck confessed his amor for his sweat-heart, Minnie Mouse!”
“WHAT?!” yelled Mickey as he looked up at the television.
Everyone stared at the televisão in disbelief, as the clip was played. As soon as it ended Mickey jumped up and yelled, “See, this proves they’re dating!”
Angered Donald stood up and shouted back at him, “That clip didn’t prove anything!”
“Quit defending your stupid uncle!” Mickey yelled
Donald, who did not speak clearly even at the best of times, began scream insults at Mickey that no one could understand. Soon the fight turned into a free-for-all, with Donald and Mickey swinging punches and yelling at each other.
Huey, Dewey, Louie and Max came running over, trying to stop the fight. “Uncle Donald! Mickey! Stop!” Dewey shouted.
“Break it up!” Louie yelled
“Stop it guys!” Huey yelled
Donald screaming, “You hit like a girl!”, is all they got for an answer.
“You should talk!” Mickey shouted back.
“Come on guys! We need to get them separated!” Max shouted, “Huey, Dewey you guys get your uncle! And Louie you come help me with Mickey!” So the four boys started trying to pull the men, who were still hurling fists and insults at each other, away from each other.
As soon as Goofy realized what they were doing he jumped up from chair where he’d been sitting, and exclaimed, “Mickey! Donald! Careful don’t hurt Maxie!”
“Shut-up!” Mickey yelled at Donald.
Misunderstanding him Goofy said angrily. “Now Mickey, just ‘cause I asked you be careful and not hurt Maxie, is no reason to tell me to shut-up!”
“No you shut-up, and admit you were wrong!” Donald shouted in return, as swung his fist.
Goofy watched in horror as Donald’s fist miss it’s intended target, Mickey, and hit Max on the arm. “NO!” he shouted as he came running over to the fight.
Suddenly the phone rang, which startled all them. But Mickey and Donald quickly returned to their fight, as soon as the shock wore off. And the phone continued to ring as Goofy stood there watching the fight, mais worried about Max’s safety than answering the phone.
Seeing that Goofy was the only one either not fighting or trying to stop the fight. Huey called, “Goofy answer the phone!”, he got no response.
Dewey called, “Goofy! Can you get the phone?!” with still no response.
Finally Louie said, “Max, tell your old man to go get the phone.”
Max called, “Dad don’t worry about me! He barely touched me! Now go get phone!”
After hearing what Max said, Goofy ran over to the mesa, tabela where the phone sat and answered it, all the while keeping a close eye on the fight. “Hello. This is Donald Duck’s house. If you’d to talk to him…”
Scrooge, on the other end of the line, quickly interrupted him, “Goofy, is that you? Tell Donald that I must speak with him at once!”
Goofy replied, “Umm… He can’t come to phone right now… ‘cause he an’ Mickey are fighting over whether or not you and Minnie are datin’. And I can’t stay on the phone long ‘cause they might hurt Maxie. Donald already punched him once”
Feeling frustrated Scrooge said, “Well, then this should make both of them happy. Tell Donald to come to phone right now, because I need to talk to him. I believe I’ve figured out who’s behind those fotografias of Minnie and me. Also make sure he knows that I do not want to be left waiting for ten minutos like last time, and have my phone bill run-up for no reason.”
Goofy, who was not paying any attention to the conversation, watched in horror as Max was elbowed. He answered Scrooge with, “Aaah! Mickey just elbowed Maxie in the belly!”
Feeling even mais frustrated Scrooge started to say something, but then thought about how Goofy must feel, “Goofy, I’m sorry that Max got punched and elbowed. I can’t bare seeing children, especially my lads and my wee Webbigail, hurt. But can ye please tell Donald to come to the phone.”
“Um…Okay. I’ll try to tell ‘im all that stuff.” Goofy answered.
“Thank you. Now please go get him. You’re running up my minutos as we speak.” Scrooge replied feeling relieved.
Goofy set down the phone and walked over to the brawl. He tried to get Donald attention, which was hard since Donald mind was on nothing but the fight, after several failed attempts he said, “Um… Donald phone call for you. It’s your uncle says he knows who’s behind the photo’s of him, and Minnie and he needs to talk you ‘bout it ” This caught Donald’s attention and he stopped fighting and raced over to the phone.
