Ouch, this is hard! They're both two sides of the same coin. One (Original) is the front that Mother Gothel puts on while things are going well with Rapunzel and the other (Reprise) is more in line with the genuine reality of Mother Gothel and how truly horrible she is. I think I like the 1st a bit better though because it exposes Gothel’s layers of deceit to the audience but ignorant to Rapunzel as well as it’s not as dark, and since Mother Gothel’s Reprise hits too close to home for me, it’s not as fun to listen to.
