It did feel forced to me. I wish they had simply remained friends.

No I actually liked that they had development throughout the movie and it felt natural

They seemed all right to me, I thought their development was fine and "I'll Make a Man out of You" didn't show us the whole time they were training together anyway.

She invited him for dinner as a friend. Nothing else. Mushu just made Mulan realize she likes Shang and the Emperor made Shang realize he likes Mulan. They weren't even dating or anything.

No, that's why they didn't kiss or marry or anything.

She goes to war, sees his hot smoking body, he tries to figure out his sexuality, he sees her half naked, they kickass together. Is there anything wrong with that?

I'm with manu. There's a nicely developed friendship that's (arguably) turning into something more.

This felt way more natural than Tiana getting together with Naveen. Or Anna getting together with Kristoff. Those two couples were WAY TOO RUSHED. Here, there was a strong friendship that built itself up slowly from mutual respect. All you see at the end --- is the slight crush that Mulan and Shang have on one another. It feels real, and not a hokey plot device sandwiched into the movie. I also liked that they didn't kiss, which is so standard at the close of every other DP movie featuring a prince!

Maybe , when I first watch the movie I was not expecting them to fall for each other just to be simple friend, we're talking about Disney am pretty sure that they but them together so people wouldn't be saying that Mulan is a lesbian or have conflicts with people like is been said about Merida and Elsa to be lesbians for not having a love interest in the movie, haaaa society so tire of your shit.

I completely agree with iwasneverhere. I really love their relationship and there are Disney couples WAY more rushed than Mulan and Shang.

In the middle of the movie, it seems that Mulan is admiring Shang, so what's wrong if the end they're just having a dinner?

Not at all. They are good friends at the end instead of a couple. They have romantic relationship in the sequel, though.
