I know they're the same person, but Aurora symbolizes the elegant princess inside her, while Briar Rose symbolizes her playful and realistic attitude

Briar Rose is not playful! Aurora is the real her, it is the true Disney Princess!

I like it more, it sounds prettier. Maybe also because in finnish it's Ruusunen and the movie's name also is "Prinsessa Ruusunen" aka "Princess Briar Rose" and I think it's like her character's real name, Aurora sounds it's like second name or prefix.
Sorry that finnish thing, I just felt I should little explain why I have so strong feeling about this, to me it's been like that as long I can remember.

I never find myself calling her Briar Rose. I've always prefered this name.

I like Aurora better.

I love both names. I do call her Briar Rose but more often then not I call her by her given name Aurora.

I agree with dclairmont - plus, even though I adore both names, I've always preferred "Briar Rose" even though I only call her Aurora.

I LOVE the name Briar. I'd seriously consider naming my daughter that, or at least use it as a middle name. Aurora is great too though. she's the Rose of Dawn ;)
