Nooooooooo! There is no need to mess with a classic. A sequel will never be made and thank God for that.

That would have ruined the magic of the first film. I don't think any version would do the first film justice. Let's face it…they used up all the best songs, there is no topping the chemistry, and how could the dancing get hotter? Best to leave well enough alone.

It would ruin the origial and besides it should be like the actual 2nd movie about dancing and young love. I'm glad the sequel isn't about Baby and Johnny

Errm not sure if anyone's going to see this but you are aware there is already a Dirty Dancing 2 right? Called Havana Nights ... not as good as the first one but I really liked it. Patrick was even in it for a scene, teaching people how to dance although he is not a main character and only appears in the one scene. It was made in 2004.

That's why I have no intention of watching Havana Nights because it should be focused on Johnny and Baby a few years further into their life together it's a waste setting it up with 2 totally different people.

I don't know really, I wish it was a continuation of Baby and Johnny's lives together but 17 years is too long for a sequel.
