Denzel Washington steps into the equalizing shoes of \'Robert McCall\', this time a former Black Ops agent looking for a quiet life who becomes embroiled in a battle with the Russian mob when saving a young girl (Chloe Grace Moretz).

Hoping the nostalgia would draw in audiences and changing the lead actor from white to black for a fresh take didn\'t work with

NBC\'s TV remake of Ironside, so let\'s hope that the reboot formula succeeds on the big screen this time around.

Still it is a mystery as to why Robert McCall chooses to free Terri a/k/a Alina from the clutches of the Russian mob by skillfully destroying everything from the head of the snake to the tip -- thus stopping each of their ventures. The latino characters were victims; the young men with no opportunities except that for Home Mart and that is no future. McCall gives the $9800.00 to an aspiring singer. His choices were many, but she stood out. It may be a play on the society and what it values is not the norm. It may be society's plan that latinos and African americans work at Home Mart and have diners. But, beautiful Russian girls deserve a better life and $9800.00. His friend asks, "Why that girl, Robert?" That is still a mystery even to him. But, he is an enforcer for this society...
