I think it's just a harmless part of who she is. ^.^ It shows her vibrant personality and love for life. Makes her very interesting and not mundane and boring. Yoshi has nothing to fear. He has a great girl!

Yoshi knows his girl all too well so y would she deceive him? Its just part of Birdos way to express herself and another thing: She flirts wit Yoshi more than anyone else if there was anyone else and besides Yoshi likes or evn loves it when she does and he evn flirt back!!!!!!!

I don't think she's trying to lead Yoshi on, if that's what you mean. I see her as just being very happy with who she is and comfortable in her own skin, so she likes to show herself off now and then - especially to Yoshi!
