With my eyes glowing blue and a burst of electric power filling every inch of my body I was vulnerable. But I wasn't scared. And anyway, I wasn't about to kill this girl, that would be a bit violent. So instead I froze her in a gigantic block of ice and earth bended it all the to my house's back yard. We needed some perguntas to be answered.
After I texted Sam to come help me I tried to heal Aang with my water bending. I had always had trouble with water bending. It was my opposite element. I hated it. Ice.....snow.....water....they are such cold forms. They put out fires. They have no life. Water is just a boring liquid. Fire.... its like a living person. When holding it or tending a fire, you have to feed it mais fuel. It has it's own heartbeat, and if you feed it too much it could burst and become something dangerous. Just like a human being.
After Sam came and healed his wounds, we helped him walk home. We had already done too much bending in public, someone might notice, we couldn't bend Aang home.
Inside my warm house we put Aang on the sofá and got him hot tea. Then we called Toph, my Dad from work, and my mom who was still at the hospital.
While Sam tended to Aang I ran outside to the girl. She stared at me through the thick window o cold ice. Her eyes were a dark brown, and they seemed to darken every second. They were bloodthirsty, and one thing, one thought that ran between us while she stared at me was none other than something you could hardly be afraid of. It didn't seem evil or dangerous. But it warned me, gave me a hint of who she really was. Her lips thinned into a straight line, and her shoulders hunched down, I could see she was beginning to fall from no air.
For a segundo I hesitated to free her. But an avatar doesn't kill. I wasn't going to either.
After freeing her, she didn't attack me or hurt me, or even move. she sat and cried. mais like sobbed really.
"Oh what is it already!!!???" I yelled with no patience in my annoyed voice.
"I dddd.....dd....on't wwww.....ant....ttttto.....hurt you."
"Tell me clearly."
"I don't want to hurt you."
"Are you supposed to?"
"Yes......"
"Who sent you to attack us?"
"I can't say...." She said shivering. I handed her a blanket from the porch and kept listening. "....we were supposed to find the avatar and kill it. And you said you were the avatar. We didn't expect to find a young girl. But my ancestors failed to capture avatar Aang because of that very fact."
"Your ancestors?"
"I'm the great granddaughter of Azula. But that is kind of obvious. My name is May......and my family line has wanted revenge ever since avatar Aang. We have been helping a group......and they sent me to kill you."
"So why won't you kill me?"
"Because..... because....because....because you remind me of someone I love. And she is dead."
