itsastart Stacey, this would be an interesting scene in the next episode. I love the parallel between the physical symptoms of running and the emotional symptoms of love. I like that Gwen can't face him. Even in the upcoming ep I don't think she will try to warn Arthur himself, but rather someone else in Camelot like Merlin. They seem to be portraying her as emotional dejected, so I don't think she feels she can or deserves to face him, which will make the reunion more emotional. Looking forward to part 2.

EPaws Part 2 of 2 - On the Fly (BP and the Family Arwen) Laboured. Their breathing remained so in the eerie silence that followed the distant echoes of padding feet. He felt her nod, wordlessly acknowledging his eyes command to remain silent while gloved fingers released their hold as if suddenly burnt by contact with her midriff. Too intimate an act, considering. She hurriedly scurried backwards, eyes looking about frantically as she crouched and braced herself against the trees bark. Was it defensiveness he saw in her eyes for a fleeting moment as her chest heaved, welcoming long sought air and the ability to breathe freely again. “Thank you, Ar...Sire,” she managed, shunning his gaze. No, the look had been shame. Arthur’s jaw clenched in anger, pale eyes taking full inventory of her attire, barely anything left to the imagination, bare for all to see what was his alone. He had seen this manner of dress before in his travels. Helios would die, his nails instinctively biting his palms through the thick leather gloves as his eyes caught sight of the ring snugly resting cosseted between inviting soft amber mounds still heaving and glowing with sweat from the recent run. He licked his lips, thirsty for some inexplicable reason. “Why were you running, Guin-e-vere? ” Her eyes were tightly shut now, willing him leave. There was light, she would be able to make it to the next village, relatively safely if he left now and stopped probing her with his gaze exacerbating her guilt. “It matters not, Sire. Just go, please. Merlin will explain.” He heard the nonsensical babble through the fog as thoughts merged and danced, only his eyes aware of her tentative movements and how she toyed with the silver ring of their betrothal tethered by the leather thong, as if seeking strength to speak. “ You’re needed in Camelot. Your men, your people, they need you, Arthur. His Army is coming at the helm, your sister. She plans to take Camelot tonight. Don’t waste time. It is why I came back, to warn you. Just leave. I have what I deserve.” Time was a very strange thing indeed when considered in the faction of a second. We made choices often that way. Rationality fleeing, logic centres left to their own devices as imperatives far stronger made their stand and won. The taste of sweat, the feel of yielding warmth beneath him, his mind frustrated by the mail, though warmed by their respective skins. ‘Damn gloves!’ he flung them haphazardly and sighed at the feel of silk beneath sword roughened palms and the warm flesh, his Guinevere’s skin, beneath the thin voile of material. “Guineveeeeeere,” he chanted softly, as if in benediction to the reunion of lips, which took precedence to that of mind, his lips crushing hers desperately once more as he exhaled softly, basking in the sound of the quietly mewled acquiescence from decidedly soft lips and the firm grip of her long fingers holding fast to the base of his skull keeping him there. His tongue continued to map their outline commanding entrance to the wet, warmth of her mouth, their tongues duelled for supremacy once more, surrendering to the preternatural need. “Forgive me, please?” Their eyes met and held speaking volumes. Was that birdsong? No, just the light of the sun coming through the gloaming of their souls and the canopy above, warming them in rectification, another spell cast, both oblivious to the wrath-like entity stealing behind another trees bark, looking to the heavens with a smirk. It would be hours hence, many hours, but they would always remember the moment, though neither could recall who asked it first.

I can say this, that amidst the dross and believe me, in every fandom there is a mass of ficcage dross lol, there are some great stories. One finds them through recs( recommendations). I am glad you enjoyed the ficlet. It was a pleasure to write and a one off. I still have to finish Bouncy Bouncy or BP will kill me. BradAngeleyes I'm late again, but this was wondeful hun. I want this to happen in the episode. I was instantly transported to that forest, running with them, away from some evil. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Gwen in that outfit and Arthur's reaction when he sees her, just can't wait. He'd better help her get out of it too, slowly.
