Awful and sickening

I just wanna say something and walk away. I trealy makes me sick, and feel awful not just for the animal but for the rest who saw him/her get shot.

You are looking at a stuffed animal, literally! How would you feel if you had an animal corpse in your house?!

How would you liked to be murdered and then hung as a trophy in some sociopaths house?

It's horrible. I have to leave the room. I was once at the hog's breathe cafe and we were sitting right under one of a hog and I couldn't eat. I felt sick

They're absolutely horrifying!! No animal should be treated that way, even if they are dead, which just makes the matter even worse!

I can't stand to look at them.

I hate them unless if it is NOT a real animal. Like a stone statue, or anything that ever lived.

It depends. If someone killed an animal JUST to turn it into a taxidermy head - that's just disgusting. But a distant relative of mine ACCIDENTALLY hit and killed a deer on the side of the road once - and I mean it when I say they seriously didn't mean to. They decided to at least honor its memory and turned it into a taxidermy head so they could keep it. They still have it to this day.

Even if you hunt for meat and you absolutely need it you should at least respect the animal enough to put its body to rest how would you like it if someone stuffed you and put you on display.

Not every ornament made from an animal is killed; sometimes they are made from animals that have died naturally.

But to be honest, no matter how the animal died the mere thought of putting a corpse on display just really freaks me out.

I would never own one but i do find myself looking at them picturing its life..... Bambi :0(

Depends on why they did it. My boyfriend's dad hunted down a deer and kept the head. But he used the rest of the deer as well, so it didn't bother me too much.

It's when they hunt down animals just for the sake of having a trophy that it bothers me.

It's disgusting.I mean it used to be a living creature that had a life and they use it's corpse as a decoration.

To think of what those hunters did to that poor poor creature, breaks my heart into a million pieces. :'(

As long as the animal died quickly and fairly, I see nothing wrong. Besides, many animals are not killed for the sake of taxidermy. It is a beautiful art that allows me to get closer to and learn more about animals. Through taxidermy, I have an understanding of them and the balance of life and death. Death is just as beautiful as life is, and if you can only appreciate one you miss out on half of nature.
Also, many animals overpopulate and are susceptible to famine and disease. Hunting helps control the balance and keeps populations healthy. Now if you, say, go and poach a tiger then we have a problem.
