If people weren't bullied into voting against someone, or discouraged by people saying that third parties have no chance, third parties might actually have a chance.
I understand that by voting third party there's a hope of them becoming more important in the future. But the stakes are just so high in this election. Many regard both major candidates as flawed. They are, yes, but very much not equally so. That is a distinction with earth-shattering consequences if ignored.
This was from a link I read a few days ago:
"Polls show there are millions of voters, especially young ones, who agree in big numbers that Trump is a racist and a sexist, unqualified for America’s highest office – but who are refusing to back Clinton. One survey of 18- to 34-year-olds recorded dire numbers for Trump, but still found only 31% supporting Clinton, with 29% preferring libertarian Gary Johnson and 15% the Green candidate Jill Stein. If those numbers are replicated on election day, Trump will win."
I cry.
Though it's sad because apparently I'm with the minority again; I'm going for Jill.
