"Everyone has that one thing that they wish they'd done, sure it may be different than others but it still hurts just the same."
The venom of his words recollected in his brain, but somehow it seemed as if he turned his fear into the desire of his fathers amor it wouldn't seem so bad all those days ago. But that still didn't fade the memories and flashbacks he had about their last discussion.
---
"You're worthless you know that!?, can't you do anything right?"
He stiffened at the yelling from his father and sighed deeply closing his eyes as if the matter were his fault and true, but that wasn't at all the case.
"I'm sorry...".
"Like hell you can apologize for that!" A yelled slur erupted from him stepping progressivo, para a frente raising his hand.
The boy stiffened and looked down at his feet, a part of him wanting to actually look his father in the eye and see the emotion that showed in them as he yelled, but there was also the fear of what it would be. Already he felt the stinging sensation in his cheek as if anticipating a hard beijoca, smack but was surprised when he felt nothing and quickly glanced up at his drunken father, He looked at him dead in the eye with no emotion or remorse and clumsily loosley dropped his arm back to his side.
"There's something you can do though" he continued.
"What do you want me to do...." a reluctant answer escaped the boys lips, but deep down he knew he'd never get his fathers satisfaction.
"Bring me ten thousand dollars por the end of this week".
The boy let out a hitched breath as his eyes widened taking in the information. That was freaking impossible, there was no may he could get that kind of money in that amount of time.
"Ten thousand?!, but da-".
"Did I stutter" He slurred coldly making the boy go silent immediately.
He pointed a lousy finger at him, " If you can do this for me then I have pride in calling you my son".
The boy looked down at his feet once more.
---
The image of his black converse shoes faded into black flat boots on the edge of a building that looked down at the streets of Gotham city as he snapped back to reality.
Though those memories were well over a year-ago, that fear and sadness still haunted him every so often.
"What brings you out here?".
A voice muttered suddenly beside the black suited and masked boy. He must of not noticed it because of the way he jumped at the red head who smiled at him and giggled beside him. From his lack of response the red-head sighed deeply continuing her earlier question.
"Well.. are you gonna tell me or just be silent like you always are?" she blinked in anticipation at the masked boy.
"I'm just thinking that's all Rene" he muttered.
"You do that a lot too" she spoke.
"Huh?".
"You know think...." she continued and smiled lightly at him, " I've always wondered, what goes on in Misty's little mind".
A sigh of not quite exasperation escaped his lips, mais like a sigh of a bit of relief that someone actually asked about what he thought. Like it somehow mattered to them what he was thinking about.
"A lot goes on in my mind" BloodMist simply muttered.
"Mind telling what "A lot" is?" she persisted on the topic.
BloodMist sighed deeply now, contemplating how to explain the words to the red- headed girl. He paced back and forth on the ledge of the building. But the girl didn't mover a muscle for she knew that he wouldn't fall because of the amount of time she had know him for. He was good at quickly thinking his way out of messes, but those we often the ones caused por his big mouth and stubbornness.
"It's a long story..." he started.
" I've got time" she warmly smiled in encouragement as she teleported from the spot she stood in the middle of the roof of the building onto a sitting position on the ledge seguinte to BloodMist who stopped in his track looking down at her as she peered up at him with warm eyes.
BloodMist sighed deeply in a nuvem of unease but that soon faded when the feeling of being able to get all the things off his chest presented itself right on the very spot of the ledge seguinte to him, and he letter the better of himself sit down right seguinte to her.
"It was a long time ago....." he began.
