Because I'm bored. Sorry it's so long.
"I'm boooooorrreeed," Lychan complains. "Richi, let's do somethiiiiing." I groaned for what seemed like the 20th time. I open my eyes and gave up on trying to take a nap.
"You've been saying that all morning. If you're that bored, go and get to know the others." I tell her. Her face goes completely red. "After that incident, I don't want to get to know any of them," She replies to me. She then proceeds to lay down on the branch seguinte to me. "Besides, I'm too lazy." Feeling annoyed, I was about to tell her to go do it anyway when I got an idea. "Fine. I got a different idea." I get up from the branch and jump down to the ground. "Follow me." Lychan jumps down as well, and follows me to a nearby clearing.
I stop in the middle of the empty space, and turn to Lychan. "Why don't we spar here? See which one of us is stronger." She fist-bumps the air. "Yes! Finally, some action!"
At the same time, we both change into our costumes, my golden light clashing with her silvery one, as if the match had already begun. In an instant, we both pull out our weapons, and while I position myself into a battle stance, she readies a Hell bolt into her bow. We're both smirking, confident that we can overpower one another. Before I strike, a thought occurred to me. "Wait." I tell Lychan. She gives me a puzzled look. "You don't have a melee weapon, do you?" She shakes her head. I reach to the back of my belt, and pull out a steel hunting faca from a pocket. I toss her the knife, and she grabs it at the handle with ease. She pockets it, and we both get into a ready position once more.
She takes the first move, pulling back the bolt and firing with insane speed. The bolt zooms, and I make to dodge it, but it lands several feet in front of me and erupts into a large, black flame. Before I could ask what the deal was, a volley of regular arrows fly out from the flames, and I leap to the side, barely avoiding my possible death.
Obstructing my vision. I thought. Smart.
I sprint towards her, dodging volley after volley, narrowly escaping defeat over and over. Just before I reach her, she slings her bow and pulls out the hunting knife, her expression as if she's going to kill me for not dying yet. I take a swipe with my left dagger when I get near her, and she easily deflects my strike with her knife, but failed to see my right dagger coming up to her face.
I cut her cheek and a small amount of blood leaks out. She's stunned from my attack, so I proceed to break the hold of my left dagger and knee her hard in the stomach.
Lychan lets out a small yelp as I struck, and leaps back, carregando and firing a electric Arqueiro in mid-air. It brushed my shoulder, and I felt thousands of volts of electricity shock my entire body. If it had hit me full-on, I would have passed out. I winced as I moved towards Lychan again; my body was aching and the Arqueiro had obviously left large burn.
Again and again we attacked each other, arrows piercing my skin, my daggers cutting into her in several locations.
I looked at Lychan, and she was smiling in triumph, as she had just grazed me again for the 3rd time with another electric arrow. "That the best you can do, Dog Breath?!" I call out, sprinting to her. "Not even, Hell Boy!" she calls back. The air seguinte to her starts glowing, and when the light fades, a copy of herself is standing there with several dozen arrows loaded and trained on me.
I capa myself to avoid being shot, and sneak behind Lychan and her copy. I summon a skeletal horse once behind them, and uncloak as I jump on. The horse whinnies, and both Lychans spin around.
Lychan begins to change the form of the copy from human to wolf. She jumps on, and brandishes her hunting faca again. We begin to have a stare-down. "So, this is how it's going to go down, huh?" she asks. I simply nod and charge towards her, leaning down to my left as if I'm going to attack her as I pass by. She begins to charge at me as well, her faca ready to swipe at me.
She never saw it coming.
A few moments before meeting, I leap off my steed, and crash into her, knocking her off to the ground. After rolling across the ground several times and both my horse and her wolf-copy disappearing, I end up on topo, início of her as she lays on the ground. Wincing in pain, she's unable to do anything as I put my dagger to her throat and whisper real close in her ear, "Checkmate."
Lychan smiles. "You win." she declares simply. I return a smile and remove my dagger from her throat. I get up from the ground and help her up as well, both of our bodies aching with pain. Supporting one another, we limp início and spend the rest of the dia tending to our wounds, and we eventually fall asleep in exhaustion.
