The old version will always have that nostalgic charm to it, for those of us who remember it from when we were kids. But I think they did pretty well with the new version. If anything, I actually think the new version is less cheesy than the old one (I don't mind "cheesiness" myself, but I know a lot of kids these days don't like it) so I think they've made it to appeal to a new, younger audience moreso than the ones who used to watch the old series.

I've never been a fã of actors being replaced. To be fair, though, they didn't really have much of a choice with that. The originals are all grown up now! I suppose the other option would've been, instead of bringing in new actors to play the same old characters, they could have changed it so that none of the old characters were in it at all and there was a new, segundo generation Saddle Club at Pine Hollow. But then the series would have been even mais different!

I must admit I like some of the new characters though. I really like Desi and Simon, and Trouble the donkey is pretty awesome too. ^^

It's strange, but I think the atuação quality varies a lot in the new episodes. Sometimes it seems really good and realistic, whereas other times they don't seem anywhere near as believable. I'm wondering if maybe they have a few different directors, and some of them are just better than others?

Overall, I think they've done okay with the new version. It just seems a bit strange at first, when you remember the originals because certain things about it are done differently! I'd call it, "different, but good in its own way".
