Finally finished leitura all the books por all the Bronte sisters! Whoo, glad that's done. Anne's definitely my favorite, but I like Emily and (mostly) Charlotte, too.
One thing I REALLY didn't like, though, was charlotte xenophobia, English nationalism/jingoism and anti-Catholicism. I'm sorry, but she was a fucking bigot, and there were times leitura her books that I wanted to go back in time and bitch-slap her for being a dick.
But anyway, glad I read them all! Posted over a year ago

i have decided to, in principle commit myself in holy union with the spirit of what the bronte sisters represent to me. the books are moral, nonsexist and they contain extremely high wisdom. it is from an age that is long dead when people had honor and were dignified. they will be the only books i will read for the rest of my life.
