James Spader discusses playing villain in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’
first trailer leaked yesterday, which resulted in Marvel caving and releasing the trailer officially. The film’s villain is played by James Spader, who says that Ultron is “batshit crazy.”
Following a massive leak yesterday afternoon, Marvel released

first official trailer released by Marvel last night.
The film’s villain was the main focus of the trailer, and actor James Spader has now revealed a few details about playing the character to TotalFilm. Spader says, “There’s a humorous aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss [Whedon].”
Fans are incredibly excited about James Spader being cast as Ultron, as he’s a very unique actor and his voice is worthy of the evil villain. Spader says, “In many ways he’s a child, this character, because he’s a brand new being who’s just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he’s a very powerful, smart child.”

trailer has us incredibly excited about Spader as Ultron, and his voice work seems perfect for the mechanical villain. The trailer ends with him saying, “No strings on me,” referencing that he’s no longer under anyone’s control (Iron Man’s). We can’t wait to see more of Spader as Ultron when

He looks so freaky! I love it! And I really love how his voice isn’t robotic. It sounds like an actual person in there as opposed to AI like JARVIS.
Well it is a little robotic. You can hear they altered it slightly
I went back to listen to his voice again, you’re right. It is a little bit, but its not overwhelmingly robotic.
Hypable should do a screencap review of the trailer and make speculations on little things found within. So far I’ve been seeing that there are rumors of a Hulk-Black Widow romance which, in my opinion, sounds a little forced. I would love to hear what Hypable has to say about this theory and any other theory they can grab from the trailer!
Or the lifeless Thor arm next to Caps broken shield.
That’s a good one too, only Thor 3 has been confirmed so he will live but how Caps shield gets broken and if in his journey to repair it he encounters Black Panther. I’d also like to know if the Avengers fighting each other has to do with Scarlet Witch hexing them or if it is the beginning of the infamous Civil War.
Technically he could still die but be resurrected during Thor 3.
I want this too! Also, I haven’t read anything about a romance…but I AM interested in seeing that scene with the two of them play out fully. Since he tried to kill her in Avengers, it reminds me of Tarzan and Jane, in which she’s trying to show him that he’s human too.
