I amor this couple. And I hate Fanon pairings that to separate these two. There's nothing that hints at a possibility of a romantic relationship with ranma or akane and any of heir other suitors, so all I can think is that person had some delusion and only saw what they wanted to and didn't ever half bunda it to actually get to know the characters. I just amor this couple! Ranma and Akane have been my favorito animê couple for about 8....9? Well about 8 or 9 years now. I've tried to think about another pairing, just to try to see another person's point of view, but it made no sense and there'd always be a brick mural as to why any other pairing between these two just wouldn't work, at all!
