I think that the psyche of someone who has already been born and developed a complex psyche takes precedence over a being that has yet to enter the world. In the case of teens willingly having sex and an accident happening; I still think that they should be allowed abortions for 2 reasons; 1. teens are known for making bad choices so they should have the option to fix them. 2. What if they want to keep it a secret (so carrying it all the way to adoption won't work as it becomes too obvious)? Some parents will abuse or disown their daughter for getting pregnant. Abortion should be an option for these people.
"Well don't have sex." Not everyone is asexual! Not everyone wants to be. People can want sex but not a child. A married couple can want sex but not a child. Even if protection is used, unfortunately an accident can still happen.
TL;DR I'm pro-choice and believe that there are some cases where it's necessary. Even if the person willingly had sex, while I don't approve as much, I still feel like abortion should be an option. Especially for teens.
Life doesn't begin until the baby has cognitive function, requiring a somewhat developed brain. Nearly all abortions are done when the mother finds out that she's pregnant, about two months into pregnancy. These two months are well before the baby has cognitive function.
Therefore, abortion is fine.
This logic doesn't apply to late stage abortions that are typically done at the recommendation of a doctor if the baby poses a serious threat to the mother's health. In that situation, the morality is to be decided por the doctor, mother, and father if he is involved, not you or me
People have already said my piece essentially and I am not willing to write a huge essay on it. A while back I used to be pro-life but honestly I am going to go to pro-choice tbh. Personally I feel late abortions are messed up and I rather it's done very early. As someone mentioned on the debate club 8 years ago. If a guy masturbates he's killing babies. If someone casually have sex they are killing babies. por all accounts I am responsible for thousands of baby deaths if you want to look at it from the prolife standpoint. And not to mention. Not all of the sperm even makes it to an egg so well they are getting killed as well via survival of the fittest honestly. As humans we are one of the only organisms that have sex for pleasure as well as procreation. I personally don't want kids so if I masturbate or have casual sex I am effectively killing bebês with the pro-life stance and it doesn't make any sense. If you're pro-life a person should consider abstinence from casual sex and masturbation or else be somewhat hypocritical honestly.by all accounts.
well, i'm for it. it's important not just for cases when an abnormality in the pregnancy causes a disfigurement in the fetus but also when it's the mother's choice either for her own safety or because she doesn't want it (through cases where they were forced or tricked) either way. it depends on their choice ^^;; if someone wants it, abortion should be available. if someone doesn't want it, it should not be forced upon them
I'm very pro choice, if the woman is unable to afford raising a baby, is too young, was a victim of rape, or just doesn't want children then she should have the right to have an abortion. The baby doesn't feel pain and isn't even alive at the time, it's just a little speck. In fact there's times where a woman absolutely needs an abortion because something's happened to the baby
I'm afraid if I put my opinion here people will start a debate with me. I don't want a debate. My honest opinion, I agree with it and I don't. Like I can understand a woman having it done because she's been raped or she was a teenager or having a baby in her can kill her. But then on the flip side I disagree with it because there is such a thing called protection, I get sometimes it doesn't work but that's sometimes. There is only so many times a woman can have an abortion before she becomes immune to it. I remember leitura on this site I went onto that this girl said she would have an abortion every time she became pregnant because she obviously didn't want the baby and she didn't like using protection. I hope that my opinion doesn't offend anyone, it's my opinion, I'm aloud to have it.
To be honest,I'm personally against abortion but I still think that it should be a legal option for all the reasons that Zanhar1 already mentioned.

Yes, there are some exceptional cases where abortion is okay. But, other than that, I am against abortion too. I am mais of an anti-abortion than pro-life.
