Skipper stood silently at the edge of the overhang that eventually lead to the pool. The wind was strong, like rocks being thrown at you. Wind being so strong, Skipper still stood there, staring into space.

Kowalski rose from the HQ, giving Skipper a curious look.

"Skipper, what are you doing?"

"Skipper? Hello? You there?" Kowalski asked again.

"I wonder what's up with him." Kowalski thought.
Kowalski presented Skipper to the others.

"Is Skippah OK?" Private asked with a worried look.

If you expected this to be another chapter of Crossroads, I am sorry to say that this is not what you expected. The penguins finally made it to JFK International. As they suspected, the power was out. It wasn't hard to sneak through the airport with the civilians distracted with panic, crying children, and others who were demanding their money back for the plane tickets that they obviously couldn't use anymore. Once they made it to the shoreline, Skipper gave the orders. "Okay men! We go in two man teams! Kowalski! You and Rico scope out the-" Chink! "What was that?" Kowalski's eyes widened. "Skipper! Behind yo-"

It was too late. The small object that had fallen behind Skipper erupted, a white gas released...

I slowed my pace, but I could hear wing-beats and heavy footsteps behind me. I looked over my shoulder. Hans was hot on my trail, anger and hatred burning in his eyes. Further behind him were at least two-dozen guards. I couldn't stop here. I sped up, kicking the pavement behind me with my feet. I ducked underneath a vehicle as it sped by. I swear it just about made me have an early molt. I focussed ahead, forgetting the truck. A lady's high-heeled feet stood in my way. I braced myself, shooting like a blackand white bullet right between her legs. The woman shrieked like a headless chicken...

A deserted, wrecked Central Park Zoo was shown and there are screens with Blowhole's face on them. It looked like an apocylyptic wasteland Skipper was talking about a long time ago. A periscope came out of the hole of the pinguim habitat. In the pinguim HQ, Kowalski put the finishing touches on his new mobile Chronotron.
"Alright, it's complete," Kowalski said.
When Private heard that, he locked every entrance in the HQ so that Blowhole wouldn't hear. He was mais frightened than usual.
"Are you sure this'll help save us?" Skipper asked while punching the mural from anger.
"I did some research, Skipper,...

(Marlene's POV)

I sat in a corner in my habitat, tears pouring down my face. I was just too depressed to do anything right now. Not even the penguins could cheer me up.

I choked out a sob. No one ever liked me. No one would ever fall for me, no one had, or ever would even kiss me.

I would always be alone... even in death...

"Marlene?" I heard a voice say.

I looked up and saw Kowalski, the brains of the penguins at the entrance of my habitat. I quickly wiped my tears, and took a breath.
