One day, after the members of New Religion had finished their breakfast, Mark, their manager, came to visit. He said, "I have some exciting news. A band from Portland has heard about you, and they want to collaborate on a new album with you." Carl asked, "Portland, Oregon or Massachusetts?" Mark replied, "Oregon." Paul asked, "Which band is it?" Mark said, "They're called The Devil Wants Peace." Lola said, "Oh, I've heard about those guys. I have their album, Out of the Dark Ages." Erin asked, "How did they find out about us?" Mark said, "Apparently, their bassist stumbled across one of your música videos. He looked up some information and learned that you're among the few modern rock bands, if not only, who refuses to use auto-tune. He was very impressed, so he asked the manager to contact me." Carl asked, "Are the members of this band nice?" Mark said, "I don't know, but I spoke with their manager, Lenny, and he was very nice." Lola said, "I can't wait to meet them. It's our first time collaborating with another band, and it's a band that has been around for nearly thirty years." The seguinte day, the members of The Devil Wants Peace arrived in Oak Ridge. After everything was at their hotel, Carl gave them directions to the neighborhood. Erin, Paul, Carl, and Lola came out of their house to see the members of The Devil Wants Peace arrive. John was the first to speak. He said, "My name's John. I'm the lead vocalist and guitarist." Allen said, "I'm Allen, and I play rhythm guitar." Peter said, "I'm Peter, and I play bass." Stan said, "And I'm Stan, and I play drums." Erin said, "It's nice to meet you all. I'm Erin, and I am the lead singer and guitarist." Paul said, "I'm Paul, and I play violão, guitarra as well." Carl said, "I'm Carl, the drummer." Lola said, "And I'm Lola, the bassist." John said, "It's certainly nice to meet all of you." Carl asked, "Where are you from originally?" Erin said, "That's a good question. I noticed Peter speaks with a bit of an accent." John said, "Well, Peter is from Liverpool, England originally. Allen is from Huntington, California. Stan is from Montauk, New York." Erin asked, "What about you, John?" He said, "I'm from Devil's Garden, North Carolina." Erin said, "No way! My mates and I are from Pine Grove." John said, "Pine Grove was six miles away from where I grew up, until that unusual F2 tornado hit. Now it's eight miles." Erin and John laughed. Paul said, "Okay, before the two of you realize you're actually long-lost cousins, let's go inside." Everyone agreed. Lola said, "I think now would be a good time to start dinner." John said, "I'll be happy to fix dinner." Erin said, "John, you're a guest. It's not right for the guest to fix dinner." He smiled and said, "At least let me help. It's the least that I can do to return the favor." Lola started dinner, and John helped. As the eight musicians ate dinner, Carl said, "You certainly know your way around the kitchen, John." John said, "That's very nice of you to say so." Lola said, "It's the truth. You did an excellent job on the pork loin. I always burn it." He said, "I'll show you how to not burn it sometime." She said, "Thanks, John." After dinner, Erin asked, "Did your mother teach you how to cook, John?" He said, "My mother never taught me anything, except what NOT to do to people." She said, "I'm sorry, John." He said, "It's all right. My grandmother taught me how to cook. She also taught me basic morals." Paul asked, "Where is your grandmother now?" John said, "She passed away when I started high school." Lola said, "I'm sorry to hear that." After the cozinha was cleaned, Paul decided to let his dogs, Yukon and Nunavut, as well as the band's mascot, Fritz, outside. The cachorros ran up to John and tackled him to the floor. They began licking his face. He laughed out loud. Paul said, "Get off of him." The cachorros ran to Paul. John got up, still laughing. Paul said, "I'm sorry about that." John said, "No, it's all right. I amor dogs." Paul asked, "Do you have any?" John said, "I used to, but I don't now." Before they left for the hotel, the members of The Devil Wants Peace and the members of New Religion discussed a time they would meet in the recording studio the seguinte day.

As I was making my way back home, I didn't notice that my shoelaces were untied. I didn't care either. I tripped and fell. Just then, someone helped me up and asked, "Are you all right?" I said, "Yeah. Why do you care?" He said, "I was just making sure you weren't hurt. That's all." I said, "Sure. You'll act like you care, and then, you'll go waltzing to Louise just like everybody else!" He said, "I'm sorry. Who's Louise?" I looked at him, and said, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you were new here." He said, "There's no hard feelings." He spoke in an English accent. He appeared to be about...

One night, my grandmother came to me in a dream. She said, "It seems that things aren't going so well here." I said, "No, they're not. Louise is teaching Sunday school for a hate group." My grandmother said, "Louise is awful young to be a Sunday school teacher. She's hardly a woman yet. She's only sixteen." I told my grandmother everything Louise had said to me. My grandmother said, "Those are horrible things to say, especially to a child. You haven't even turned twelve yet." I said, "I know." The seguinte morning, I reluctantly went to school as usual. Kyle was my only friend. I could talk to...

I woke up in the middle of the night, frightened out of my wits. I was relieved to see the light from my night light. I took some deep breaths and said to myself, "It's all right, Quinn. You just had a nightmare." I stared at the ceiling, reflecting on the events of the past couple of weeks. After my grandparents passed away, I had moved to a different state with my family. Mother wanted to keep the tradition of going to church, since my grandfather was a pastor. Unfortunately, we unwittingly ended up with a hate group, similar to that of Westboro Baptist Church. My older sister, Louise, loved...

I haven't written any artigos on my fã club in a while. I felt like composição literária a eulogy about my dog, Fluffy. Fluffy was my segundo female dog. I remember when I got her. My aunt and uncle and I were visiting with my grandmother's sister in Florida. One of her neighbors happened to be breeding Smooth collie puppies. I took one of them início with me, and I named her Fluffy for the sake of being ironic. She was the most vocal of all the cachorros I've had. She was also very motherly. When we adopted Roxy, my Pit Bull, Fluffy accepted the pup as her own. She did the same with my Rottweiler, Stone, and with my newest dog, River. When my first dog, Diesel, passed away, Fluffy grieved mais than the other dogs, save for Sadie, my Labrador. Fluffy grieved really hard when we lost Sadie a ano ago. Fluffy was really smart, too. She knew hundreds of words and phrases, and I cannot possibly name all of them. I miss her very much, and so does everyone else. I'll never forget her. May she rest in peace.
It was the last night of New Religion's tour. After playing most of the songs from their album, they played a few cover songs, including System of a Down's "Ego Brain". That song had helped Erin through many, many hard times. Towards the end of the concert, Erin decided to play the final song. She said, "I'm going to play the last song. Many of you who ever received an autograph from me may or may not have noticed that I always sign right-handed, yet I always play violão, guitarra left-handed. Well, here's the reason. I do this in memory of my dear friend, Barry. He was a big Paul McCartney fan. When...

Some weeks passed, and the members of New Religion were asked to give another interview. The interviewer asked, "How did you all meet?" Erin said, "We all met in high school, except Paul and I met before then." Paul said, "Erin and I met in the eighth grade. She had recently lost her best friend, and she was depressed. I knew she needed a friend." Lola said, "They later met me and Carl in high school, and we started a band." The interviewer asked, "How did you come up with the name, New Religion?" Erin said, "Well, when I was a kid, I thought I was a Christian, but I started to become disillusioned...

It was close to Christmas. The members of New Religion decided to go spend time was their families. Sadly, Erin's grandmother passed away. It was devastating for Erin. When New Religion picked up their tour, many people wanted to interview Erin. Lola said, "She lost a loved one. How do you think she's doing?!" Carl said, "Erin needs time to mourn her grandmother. She doesn't need a microphone in her face." Paul said, "She's been through so much. Leave her alone!" Erin thanked her friends for standing up for her. She later said, "I now know how Paul McCartney felt after John Lennon got shot." Lola hugged her. Things did get better for Erin with time. She lost so many she loved, but she kept going and never gave up.

One day, the members of New Religion went on a hiking trail. During the hike, Paul got carried away and did not pay attention to the slope in front of him. He took a hard fall. His mates rushed to the slope. They could see him lying on the hard ground. "Paul!" They cried. "Are you okay?!" He grunted in response. Lola said, "Oh, no! He's hurt!" Erin carefully made her way down to Paul. Carl and Lola followed. Erin knelt down beside of her friend. He groaned in pain. She said, "Talk to me, Paul." He said, "I think I've broken my leg." Lola and Carl made it to Paul. Carl asked, "Paul, do you think...

The members of New Religion had been to New York. Their seguinte stop in their tour was Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was a bit different from New York, but they thought it was a beautiful city. Erin especially liked it. She said, "So far, the only city I've seen that was mais beautiful than this was Rockingham, North Carolina." Paul said, "It certainly a beautiful city. If I'm thinking correctly, one of the members of Red Hot Chili Peppers was born here." Lola said, "Yeah, I think so. It was Anthony Kiedis, wasn't it?" Carl said, "Yes, it was. He was born here on November 1, 1962." Paul said, "Geez!...

The members of New Religion had released their first album, Broken and Mended, which was named for Erin's song. After the release of the album, the band went on tour. Carl was the most excited about it. He had traveled to many places, and he really enjoyed it. He said, "I can't wait to start our tour. I amor to travel!" Erin was the most nervous, as she was afraid of heights. She said, "I'm not really comfortable with heights." Lola said, "I'm sure you'll be fine." Erin said, "If you get me high enough, I'll pass out." Paul said, "Don't worry, Erin. I'll sit por the window." Their first show...

The dia after I was released from the hospital, my friend, Alyssa, paid me a visit. She said, "I just heard what had happened. Are you okay?" I said, "I'm badly hurt, but the doctor said I should recover." She said, "I'm glad for that. Why didn't you come to me instead of running away?" I said, "I just didn't think things through, Alyssa." She said, "Ellie, promise me you won't run away. You'll come to me instead." I smiled and said, "It's a deal!" Sometime later, Grandpa and I found the owner of the house on the other side of the forest. That kind man saved my life. The least I could do was...

Lying on the snow-covered ground, injured, I was sure I was going to die. I then saw the owner of the house approaching me. I had seen him in his yard on many occasions, but I never saw him up close until that day. He knelt down beside me. He asked, "What are you doing out here por yourself?" I faintly said, "I got lost in the blizzard." He noticed the blood-stained pants leg. He said, "You don't look so good. You're pale." He then pulled up my pants leg and saw my leg was badly wounded. He said, "You're badly hurt, too. I better get you to a hospital." He picked me up to carry me to his truck....

I continued walking through the forest. It was so cold. I could hear the snow crunching under my feet. Suddenly, it began to snow. I couldn't really see where I was going. I made another step, and I heard a snapping sound. Immediately after the snapping sound, I felt a sharp, stabbing pain in my leg. I thought, I must've broken my leg. I'll try to get up to see the damage. When I tried to get up, it felt like something was keeping me from getting off the ground. It was almost as if I was chained. I uncovered a hunter's trap in the snow. Grandpa had shown me how to disassemble a hunter's trap...

It was a Saturday morning. I had spent Friday night with my grandparents. Grandpa took me início Saturday afternoon. Father was waiting at the door. He said, "Ellie, you have homework this weekend." I said, "I already did it last night, Father. I did it before going to Grandma and Grandpa's. Don't you remember?" Father glared at me and said, "Don't get smart with me, Ellie." I said, "I'm not being smart with you. I'm telling the truth." He said, "Let me give you what my father gave me." He slapped me across the face. The forced knocked me to the ground. I said, "Father, it doesn't matter how one lives, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. It's fine to be a Christian, but it's not okay to beat the hell out of people in the name of it." Every Sunday, my parents and I would go to my grandparents' house. Grandma always fixed a nice lunch. After helping Grandma wash the dishes, I would go outside, weather permitting. Usually, I'd find Grandpa sitting under the big White Oak in his garden area. Often, his Alaskan Malamute, which he named Wolf, would sit seguinte to him. One Sunday, he said, "Hi, Ellie. Why don't you cadastrar-se me?" I did. Grandpa actually introduced Mother to the Beatles. I asked him about John Lennon's statement about the Beatles being "more popular than Jesus." Grandpa said, "That John. He was always very opinionated...

It was my twelfth birthday. After the celebration, I was in the study room, browsing the Internet on my computer. As I was browsing the Internet, I saw something that caught my attention. It was a heading that said, "Today is the 50th anniversary of when John Lennon said that the Beatles are mais popular than Jesus." I was curious. I thought, Is that why Father doesn't like the fact that Mother and I are Beatles fans? Now, I knew a bit about the Beatles. I knew that they were extremely popular in the 60's. I knew that they were synonymous with the British Invasion. I knew about the Paul is...

The Devil Wants Peace
After high school, Allen, Peter, and I met Stan, and he became our drummer. After we became famous, I had a cabine built in the mountains. Despite the fact I no longer lived with him, Uncle Bob continued to support our band until he was tragically killed in a car crash. I blamed myself at first, because I had a bad argument with him before he died, but in a dream, he told me he forgave me. I later dated an incredible woman named Violet. It didn't work out, unfortunately. Thankfully, it ended on good terms, and we're still good friends, but we just don't function as lovers....

High School
In high school, I got beat up a lot. I got beat up before high school, but I got beat up mais in high school. I only dated once during high school, but it took a bad turn when she got her friends to tie me to a pole and beat me up. My mother thought they had killed me, not that she would have cared if they did. Later in high school, I had a dream encounter with John Lennon. I couldn't believe it was him, because he had died nearly seven years earlier. He told me it was his spirit. I was encouraged to try and change the attitude of my hometown, but I failed. After Randall and I got...

No Stable Place
Aside from Uncle Bob, the only other family members who paid me any mind were my grandparents. My grandfather passed away about a ano and a half after my father's untimely death. My grandmother lived until I started high school. When she was alive, I could always go to her with a problem. Every time I would have a bad dia at school, I would go to her. She would say, "Tell me what's wrong, John." I would tell her what was wrong, and she would make everything better. When she passed away when I started high school, I was devastated. Now I had no one to go to when I had a bad day. That's when my record listening became mais frequent. Other than my dog, Beatle, it was my only fonte of comfort. I really missed having a person to talk to. I missed having someone who listened to me. When he wasn't working, I could call Uncle Bob and talk to him, but it wasn't the same. Grandma seemed to have an answer for everything. Nobody else seemed to have that gift.
