Despite the fact that Louise was kicked out the the hate group, she still had the attitude of one. My parents had to go out of town for a weekend. At one point, Louise began beating me. She then left the house. I packed up some things and went to Gavin's house. Gavin answered the door. I said, "Gavin, I just came to say goodbye." He looked at me curiously and asked, "Where are you going?" I said, "I'm running away." He became wide-eyed. He said, "Please don't run away! That will only end in disaster. You might get hurt or worse!" I said, "It doesn't matter." He said, "Quinn, it does matter. Your parents would be very worried about you." I said, "No, they wouldn't. Nobody loves me." He said, "That's rubbish, and you know it!" I said, "That's not rubbish. It's the truth." He said, "No, it's not. Your parents amor you. I amor you. Don't ever forget that you are loved. Why do you want to run away?" I began to cry. Gavin hugged me for the first time. He said, "It's all right. Let it out." I told him what Louise did. He said, "Don't run into the forest. Please stay with me. I don't want anything to happen to you. You're my friend. I care about you." I spent the entire weekend with Gavin. My parents found me at Gavin's. My mother said, "Quinn, we were worried sick about you." She then noticed the bruises and asked, "Who did this to you?" Louise was standing seguinte to Mother. Louise said, "I did." We were all in shock. Louise actually admitted to beating me. Was she going to brag about it? She said, "Quinn, I did you wrong this whole time. I guess I used the anger in my grief over Grandma and Grandpa against my loved ones." I said, "Oh, that sounds so close to an apology, but we're not quite there yet. Goodbye." I turned away. She said, "Quinn, wait." I turned to look at her. She said, "I'm sorry. I should have never hurt you like this." She then hugged me. She then looked to Gavin and said, "Gavin, I owe you an apology, too. I'm sorry I was so cruel to you." He said, "All is forgiven." I don't know what got into Louise, but one thing I do know is that she never mistreated me or anyone else ever again. Throughout everything, Gavin was a true friend. I gained some mais friends, but Gavin and I remained as close as ever.

Today was the first dia of school. It was not a good day, or maybe it was, depending on how one looks at it. I got beat up, but I am glad that I took a beating for someone else. What happened was this. I saw some girls bullying the new girl. I walked up to the bullies and said, "Stop it! Why are you being so mean? What did this girl ever do to you?" The ring leader said, "Stay out of this, Grace! This doesn't concern you!" I said, "On the contrary, I think it does." Another one of the girls said, "She says she has Autism or some kind of enlightenment crap." I said, "That's no...

I saw The Devil Wants Peace in show, concerto tonight. It was just as amazing as I imagined. My favorito moment in the show, concerto was when they played "Hatred Will Get You Nowhere." I really like what John said about the song. He said, "This song is called 'Hatred Will Get You Nowhere.' I wrote this song along with Allen, Peter, and Stan. After we recorded the song, Peter said to me, 'It's a shame that we kill off our heroes and allow the evils of the world to enter.' I said, 'I agree with you, Peter.' He said, 'I'm no bloody genius. I never made anything above a B, but I think the world's...

I am currently in Chicago. I'm going to see The Devil Wants Peace in show, concerto tomorrow. They're already in Chicago as well. This is how I know. After we got our things unpacked, my aunt, uncle, and I decided to go see what Chicago had to offer. We stopped to eat at a local restaurant. I looked over and noticed the members of The Devil Wants Peace were there. I said, "Oh, my gosh! It's The Devil Wants Peace!" My aunt suggested going over to talk to them. I said, "I don't want to bother them while they're eating." My uncle walked up to them and said, "My niece is a huge fan. She knows...

Summer Vacation has been great so far. While I've been enjoying school mais since I've gained a couple of friends, it's nice to have a break from it. I also received some exciting news. On July 9, I am going to be in Chicago to see The Devil Wants Peace in concert! I was so excited when my uncle told me he was able to afford the tickets. I later told my friend, Michael, "You should have seen me when my uncle told me the good news. I was jumping up and down, crying tears of joy." Normally, I'm not that excitable, but The Devil Wants Peace is one of my favorito bands. Since I was six, I dreamed of seeing them live, and now, I can stop dreaming. This dream is becoming a reality. I don't know if I'll be lucky enough to meet them, but the fact that I'm lucky enough to see them is great.

I ran the mile in gym class today. I ran it quickly, because I wanted to get it over with. Unfortunately, I ran it mais quickly than I should have. I felt awful afterwards. I was walking to my seguinte class. Michael said, "Grace, you don't look so good. Are you okay?" I said, "No, not really." He asked what was wrong. I said, "I feel a little dizzy." The seguinte thing I knew, I woke up in the nurse's office with Michael standing seguinte to me, looking anxious. I said, "Oh, my God. What happened?" He said, "You fainted." I said, "I did?" The nurse said, "You did." I said, "Oh, God. How long...

Friday the 13th is associated with bad luck, but I think today, I had good luck. I have made friends with two kids in band, Michael, who plays the tuba, and Sabrina, who plays the flute. The three of us seem to get along really well. They're fãs of the Beatles and The Devil Wants Peace, just like me. They're so nice, too. They were also impressed with the fact I can play multiple instruments: saxophone, guitar, bass, and piano. When it was time to go home, the saw me and said, "See you Monday, Grace!" I said, "Yeah, if not before then." They laughed. I'm glad that my luck is changing....

My birthday is normally a good day, but today was a bad birthday. It started when I was going downstairs for breakfast. Halfway down, I realized I left my glasses in my bedroom. I attempted to turn around and go back, but I lost my footing and tumbled backwards down the stairs. I didn't get hurt, but it scared the crap out of me. It scared my aunt, too. She asked if I was okay, and when I calmed down, I said that I was fine. If that wasn't bad enough, it was even worse at school. While I was doing my classwork, one of my classmates threw a paper airplane at me. It contained a nasty...

When Joanna woke up the seguinte morning, she felt desperate for food. She stripped the bark of a nearby árvore and found some insects. They were disgusting, but since it had been five days since she had eaten, Joanna didn't care. She drank from the stream to wash the taste of insects out of her mouth. She then pressed on to find her way back home. She found the steep colina where she had fallen. She struggled to climb the hill, but she managed to make it to the top. When she made it to the top, she stopped to rest. In her sleep, she had a dream about the afterlife. It was beautiful, unlike anything...

It was summer, but Joanna couldn't enjoy it. Because of her taste in música and her beliefs, she faced criticism. Not only was she being knocked down por school mates and neighbors, she was also facing criticism from her own family, save for her parents. One day, she said to herself, "I can't take it anymore. I have to run away. I doubt anyone will miss me when I'm gone." Without a segundo thought, she ran into the forest behind her house. For the first three days, Joanna was happy to be on her own, away from all the criticism and insults. However, on the fourth day, she began to feel a bit lonely....

One day, Joanna and Millie were hanging out at Joanna's house. Joanna's grandparents made a surprise visit. They acted friendly upon meeting Millie, but they gave Joanna a stern look when they saw the letters, "L, G, B, and T" on Millie's shirt. Oh, no. This couldn't be good. After Millie left, Joanna's grandparents simultaneously asked, "Joanna, may we see you in the kitchen?" Joanna followed them in the kitchen. That never meant anything good. Her grandfather said, "Your friend's a queer, isn't she?" Joanna said, "They don't call them queer anymore, Grandpa. Besides, Millie doesn't like to...

One day, Joanna was walking through the neighborhood. It was a cold January day, and as she was walking, she encountered some of her schoolmates. They started throwing aleatório objects at her. She ran as fast as she could, and as she ran, she looked behind her. Unfortunately, there was a rock in front of her, and she tripped over it. She tumbled down the hill, into the Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante pond. The ice was very thin and broke beneath her weight. She could barely swim, and the ice was too thin for gripping. She cried for help, hoping someone would hear her. Just when she was about to give up, she heard Paul's...

One day, Paul and Joanna were hanging out with their friends, Ian and Millie. Some bullies started making fun of Millie. She was often bullied because she was homosexual. They said, "Go get hormone replacement therapy, you fucking queer!" She began to cry. Ian said, "She doesn't need hormone replacement therapy! She's fine the way she is!" Joanna said, "That's exactly right!" Paul then said, "But you all need attitude adjustment therapy!" The bullies were stunned. Joanna said, "Look, if you're opposed to homosexuals, that's fine, but don't curse at her and tell her to get hormone replacement...

As the months passed, Joanna and Paul became quite close. One day, Paul said to Joanna, "I think it's time I tell you something that I haven't told to, well, anyone." She said, "I do, too. I'll let you go first." He said, "You remember that I was adopted por an American family last year, right?" She said, "Of course." He said, "Well, I have yet to tell anyone what happened to my parents." She asked, "What happened?" He said, "My father was killed in a car crash when I was young, so I never spent much time with him. I did spend a lot of time with my mother, especially since I was an only child....

Cedar Valley is located in the Bible cinto, correia of the United States. This small town is full of bible-thumping Puritans. A small percentage of the population is different. An eighth grader por the name of Joanna is one of the different ones. Because she was a dissenter, one who disagrees with the bible-thumping Puritans, she was often bullied. One day, she was beaten. The school nurse said she was fine, but she was really bruised. After school was dismissed, she sat on the bench in front of the school to wait on her mother. One of her school mates sat beside her. He said in his English accent, "Hi,...

One night, I was talking with one of my friends. I said, "I'm going to tell you something that I don't usually tell anyone. It was the segundo worst part of the eighth grade, the part I didn't include in my story." She said, "You can tell me anything." I said, "During the last six months of my seventh grade year, I ended up with endometriosis. The following summer, I had a hysterectomy. At the beginning of my eighth grade year, I told one of my friends. Later, she wrote in one of the bathroom stalls, 'Catherine is a slut puppy.' That nickname spread like wildfire. I'm...

One morning, during the summer, I noticed something wasn't right with one of my dogs. My Labrador, Sadie, seemed very lethargic. She did not want to eat or drink anything. I felt of her stomach, and it was really hard. My uncle took her to the vet, and it turned out her stomach had bloated. The vet tried to empty the blockage, but to no avail. The only humane thing was having her euthanized. As if that wasn't bad enough, I got a call from my friend, Sally, asking for me and Gavin to come to the hospital. I asked, "What's wrong?" She said, "You remember when I was treated...

One day, I received a call that Gavin was hurt. I went over to his house to see if he was okay. He had a big cut on his face. It was deep, but he didn't need stitches. He has some bruising around the cut as well. I asked, "What happened?" He said, "I was opening the car door, and I accidentally hit myself in the face. I fainted when I saw blood." I said, "I'm sorry. I hope that heals up soon." He said, "I'm sure it will." He was left with a scar on his face. The one good thing about it was that he gained some respect. When I got beat up near the end of the school year,...

I called for him, but he never came. I went downstairs. I looked in the living room and saw him lying on the floor. He wasn't moving. I walked up to him and started talking to him. He didn't respond. I knelt down beside of my beloved dog to check for signs of life, nothing. I fell on topo, início of him and cried. I said, "Diesel, please don't be dead! You've been my buddy for twelve years! You can't die!" I told...

Sometime later in the school year, Gavin's father and mother went on a business trip. Gavin stayed with me and my aunt and uncle for the week. It worked out, because Gavin and I go to school together, and his dog got along with my dogs. That Monday, our school dia started out well. Sometime after lunch, some of our schools mates shoved us in the janitor's closet and locked us in there. It was really dark, and I got really scared. I was on the verge of having a panic attack. Gavin said, "We'll be okay. Someone will find us soon." I calmed down some. Not only was it dark...

Spring Break came, and we got a week off from school. One morning, I got up, but then I fell down the stairs. As I tried to get up, I felt a sharp pain in my right knee. I couldn't get up.
