She doesn't seem to look angry or irritated though. Just internal pain at that moment.

I actually can't think of any words to describe what Regina is thinking but I'd imagine she's feeling possessive, a little jealous, mais than a little neglected(? not quite the word I want but if I think of it later I'll fix it. xP).

I see a lot of irritation and frustration against Emma for her claim on Henry at this moment but honestly I can't blame her. Regina may amor Henry, and I believe she does, and both she and Henry regard them as being mother and son but that's not the whole situation, especially from Emma's point of view.

One of the first things Henry says to Emma is that Regina doesn't amor Henry and that she only pretends to. Later on in the Pilot Emma asks Regina whether she loves Henry. Regina says "Of course I amor him." but something in that answer encouraged Emma to stay instead of going back to Boston. Throughout the first season Regina mistreated Henry and used him in her vendetta against Emma. Eventually her spite towards Emma led to Henry almost dying. And that's all just season 1, I don't blame Emma for not thinking Regina is a suitable guardian for Henry because she just isn't. She can be, certainly, just not until after a lot of therapy and acts of redemption to prove she's changed and has put her toxic past with Henry's grandmother behind her.

@Minervadawn, sorry I didn't mean to rant - I know you've heard all this before.

I agree with you, Gina *does* really amor Henry, but she needs "more redemption" to prove herself to the Charmings first. And to perhaps be a little less violent someday; {Even though I amor her that way!} Besides all that, the Charmings should not exclude her so much because then she's mais likely to do something "bad" because she's hurt.

She's actually not a bad mom in my opinion she did take care of Henry for all that time

^^ She does but it's just not a healthy love. It's possessive, obsessive and unhealthy for both Regina and Henry. That's Regina's problem, I get that people lash out when their hurt but Regina overreacts (the curse, anyone?). I agree that the Charmings need to treat her better from the point of view of the quest but I still think that if they don't want to forgive her than they shouldn't have to. Regina did horrific and despicable things to them.

^^ She took care of Henry, yes, but he was still neglected. Healthy, properly looked after ten ano old boys don't steal a hell of a lot of money and a credit card, travel four miles on their own to find their birth mother because they think their adopted mother doesn't amor them without an extremely good reason.
