First of all, please know that I am NOT a fanfiction person. I don't even know why the heck I wrote this, but it seemed fun at the time.


“Normals Overrated”

Lisa Cuddy sat at her escrivaninha, mesa looking over the daily work that needed her immediate attention. While her eyes were seeing the papers, her mind didn’t comprehend a single word. She was thinking about the night before. Had Lucas known? Did it show in her face? Was her touch different?
Lisa had struggled so hard to make this work. She was responsible for Rachel now and as a Mom, she knew she needed things to be mais stable. She wanted a nice home, a loving father figure for her baby. She needed someone she could talk to and she thought she had found all of this with Lucas. It seemed like a good idea. He was attentive, and great with Rachel. Everything should be great. Why wasn’t it? Why did she find herself talking to Lucas about House mais than about any other subject?

Last night, Lucas made supper. They gave Rachel a bath and then put her to bed. They were watching a movie on the couch, but she wasn’t paying attention. She was thinking about the look on House’s face today when she saw him in the cafeteria. She couldn’t decide if it was hurt, or anger or disgust. It wasn’t clear to her. When she looked back at him again, he shifted his eyes. Without that contact, she couldn’t read his emotions. Something about his look had stuck with her through the whole day.

She saw the credits rolling por and it roused her to consciousness. She crawled into cama seguinte to Lucas and felt his hand reach for her. “Not tonight” she thought to herself. Despite herself, she let him continue. She rolled over and kissed him back.
“House won’t win this. I want normal and dang it, that’s what I will get. I just want to be like everyone else!” the thought pushed her on. Despite her resolve, each touch from Lucas, each movement she wasn’t thinking of him at all. The only thing that Lisa could see was the deep blue eyes that saw into her soul. She knew her body was having sex with Lucas, but her mind was making amor to Greg House. She closed her eyes not to rid her mind of him but to hold on to the thought even stronger.

Did he know? Could he tell?

Now she sat at her escrivaninha, mesa trying to understand why she was so miserable trying too hard to be happy. Almost as if she was on autopilot, she got up from her escrivaninha, mesa and headed towards House’s office. Maybe if she could just see him, she would shake this. It was a lame idea really, she didn’t even have a clue what to say when she ran into him.
“Think Lisa” she thought, “Come up with something before you get there.”

Thirteen, Foreman and Taub were sitting at the table, and Chase stood with his back to House looking out at the hall. House was composição literária on his whiteboard when she entered. Chase saw her first, and he straightened up a bit from the slouchy stance he had before.
“House, can I see you in your office for a minute” Cuddy said, in her best administrative voice.
House looked puzzled and somewhat annoyed but, he followed over to his office, taking the opportunity to check out his favorito view as he did.
