About a mês after the loss of the baby
About a mês had passed since Cuddy's fall and she had returned to work as soon as she had completed her cama rest. House had vowed never to argue with her again, and it would be a hard vow to keep, but 3 weeks after he made it, he's kept strong to it.
Cuddy and House had decided to mover in together and had been house hunting for about 2 weeks before finding their perfect home. Small, but large enough for the 3 of them (well 4 if you include House's baby grand), it was one storey and it was on a colina that overlooked Princeton. It was in their price range and put their foot down as a couple and brought the home.
Not long after they had purchased it, did they actually mover in. They both took a week off work (even though House had pushed Cuddy into making the decision because she was paranoid at leaving her hospital unattended) for renovations - the nursery needed to be painted and House and Cuddy had decided on re-doing their bedroom and the adjoining ensuite.
Day 1 of Renovations
"But mum, I don't wanna go shopping," House whinged.
"Quit your whining, Greg, we need to do this together," she responded.
"But muuummmmm,"
Cuddy sighed, "I'll let you do the ensuite,"
"What do you get to do?"
"I'll do Rach's room and we can do OUR room TOGETHER - unless you'd rather have a rosa, -de-rosa or purple bathroom?"
"I'm coming," he said boldly, raising his hands in defeat. There was no way he'd let her have a purple or rosa, -de-rosa bathroom.
Cuddy smiled and left the room.
Day 2 of Renovations
House, suprisingly, had chosen out a very neutral but modern look for their ensuite. He had given Cuddy strict orders not to go into the bathroom until it was completed. He told her she'd have to use the main bathroom.
Cuddy wasn't very happy about it, but accepted the fact and moved on. She had, however, told him "If I find that you have used the tiles to create a sexually explicipt image, I swear I will kill you,"
He had just smirked at her comment and had departed to work on the room. Meanwhile, Cuddy had picked out a light pink, so light it was near on white, and begun work on Rachel's room.
Day 5 of Renovations
House had finished the ensuite and Cuddy had finished Rachel's room so now it was time to start on their own room. After the two had removed everything from their room they had stripped the walls of the hideous red mural paper and had ripped up the off white, nylon carpet which was soon replaced with drop sheets.
At about 12, House and Cuddy had sat down for lunch in the lounge and had switched on the T.V.
Cuddy had brought through two sandwhichs and gave one to House. Immediately she plonked herself on the sofá and began to lean on him.
"Geeze woman, you can actually eat on that angle?" he asked, playfully shoving her off him. SHe retaliated and hit him back.Silence fell over House and Cuddy as they sat watching T.V. and eating their lunches.
Returning to their work after lunch, they pulled put sanders to sand the walls of the wallpaper glue. Cuddy left the room just before the job was finished to get the undercoat.
Laying on the undercoat soon became messy as House creeped up behind her and pressed the brush to her face. She spun round fast but was greeted por his chest.
"Woops, my hand slipped," he teased before planting a kiss on the other side of her face.
This was about to get messy...
