(This is set in the ano 2011, it's February 1st, Emma interests have changed a little since the last two, she's started watching mais grown up shows, mostly crime shows like, Supernatural, Criminal Minds and NCIS:Los Angeles, she recently has become a big fã of a singer called Olly Murs, but Westlife are still her all time favourites. :3)
Emma sat in her bunk, consumed por thought. It was the early hours of the afternoon and the team had gone to get snowcones. Emma had been feeling a bit distant recently, and her head was filled of thoughts of confusion, depression, loneliness and temptation. Ever since Christmas, Private had become quite distant, and he seemed to be taking their relationship for granted. She couldn't even remember the last time Private had told her he loved her, or even held her flipper. But someone had been there for her ever since she had met him, he listened to her problems, made her smile, was the bestest friend she could ever have and was becoming pretty hard to resist. That person was Kowalski. Emma was starting to worry that she loved Kowalski mais than Private. Everyday, he made her feel special, and she had much mais in common with him. He also gave lovely warm hugs. Emma smiled as she thought about that last time she hugged him. She then shook herself.
Stop thinking about this, Private cares for you very much. She told herself sternly.
Yes, but Kowalski loves you more. A stubborn voice at the back of her head argued.
So why should that matter? Emma snapped back.
Because you amor him mais than Private. The voice answered reasonably.
That's not true. Emma denied.
Oh come on, don't you remember that time around September last year, when you were on holiday, and Private had fell asleep...
Shut up. Emma scolded, slapping herself. A few segundos later Skipper came through the fishbowl, closely followed by, Rico, Private and Kowalski. Emma breathed a sigh of relief, glad she didn't have to be left alone with her thoughts. Skipper nodded a greeting at her, and Emma nodded back, Rico did the same.
"Hey Private." Emma said, smiling at him.
"Hi Emma." Private replied distantly, glancing at her, then walking over to the Tv. Emma's smile slipped off her face, and she looked at the floor.
"Hey Em, how you been today?" Kowalski asked, standing por her bunk. Emma smiled again, and looked up at him.
"I've been ok today, how about you?" Emma responded, brightening a bit.
"I've been pretty good today, and here's your snowcone." Kowalski replied, giving Emma the arco iris, arco-íris coloured cone. "And what's up, you seem upset." he said looking at her with concern.
"Nothing, I'm fine." Emma lied. Kowalski looked at her skeptically. Emma looked over at Private, who was watching the Lunacorns, Kowalski followed her gaze.
"Ah, ok, do you wanna talk about it later?" Kowalski whispered. Emma shook her head, and Kowalski sighed. "Well, if you ever need to talk, I'm here to listen." He said, giving her a sweet smile.
"Ok, thanks Kowalski." Emma whispered, hugging him. They both blushed a little, and pulled away reluctantly. Emma couldn't help think about how warm and soft his feathers were.
"Hey, Criminal Minds is on in a few minutes." Kowalski reminded her cheerfully, as he looked up at the clock. Emma beamed at this, and walked over to the others, Kowalski closely behind her. She sat down seguinte Private, and smiled at him, He he forced an unconvincing smile, and looked at the Tv. Emma sighed silently, and looked at Kowalski who was sitting on her right. He gazed at her sympathetically and scooted a little closer. Emma smiled at him, and started focusing on the Tv. It wasn't a gruesome episode so Private didn't need to cover his eyes at any point. Emma held his flipper lovingly, but she couldn't help notice that he did't seem to care, or even notice. She ignored this, and tried to enjoy the Tv. When the episode finished, Emma decided to go to Marlene's for a chat.
"See you in a bit Em." Kowalski said, as he was getting his clipboard out.
"See ya." Emma replied cheerfully. She belly slid over to Marlene's habitat, and stopped por the cave entrance. "Marlene, are you in?" She asked.
"Yep, come on in." Marlene called out. Emma walked in, and saw that she was leitura a book.
"Hey Marlene." Emma greeted cheerfully, hugging her best friend.
"Hey, Emz, how are ya?" Marlene asked brightly.
"Well honestly I've been a bit down recently." Emma admitted.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Marlene asked sitting down. Emma nodded, and sat down seguinte to her, and began to explain that Private had been really distant, and almost uncaring recently, and Kowalski had been the opposite, and how she was beginning to amor him just as much, maybe more.
"And we both know that we both feel the same way, but I just don't know what to do." Emma finished, breathing for the first time since she started to explain. Marlene looked thoughtful.
"Emma I think you need to stay with Private to be honest, because guys are guys, and they forget to be romantic sometimes, and they can act distant, you just need to slap them out of it. " Marlene advised. Emma looked skeptical, and she was about to say something when Marlene interrupted her. "Private loves you very much, but he may just be unsure of how to show it. You don't want to hurt him, por dumping him do you.?" Marlene asked.
"No, I don't want to see him hurt." Emma answered.
"Then think about what I've said, and I hope you forget about all if this stuff that's going on now." Marlene said. The two of the chatted for a little longer, and Emma headed back, feeling much mais cheerful. She did amor to talk with Kowalski, but when the problem involved him, she knew it was best to have a good old fashioned girl talk. She strolled back over to the pinguim HQ, with not a care in the world.
