Okay, so I am sitting here with my broken toe, trying to finish off a book, and I think, "God. fanpop is just insanely awesome." I mean, big surprise, why would I be a part of something I don't like? But I am honestly so bored that I am going to make a list of ten reasons why I amor this place (in no order of importance).
Buy your comida and drinks right now, ladies and gentlemen, there will be no intermission.

1. The picks. The picks, the picks, the picks! As some people may know, I am an avid pick maker/answerer, and I just amor them! Whoever thought up that gem of an idea, nice. Just awesome.

2. The fans! I, surprisingly enough, have only been annoyed por about one person on this entire site! That is amazing, okay? I am a totally outspoken person and no one has really called me on my opinions. Everybody just seems to respect everybody else on here, and that is just awesome.

3. The Fanpoppies. hooch-is-crazy's brainchild, The Fanpoppies were just so much fun. If you have not joined that spot, do it now. It is amazing. And who doesn't amor the word "Fanpoppy?"

4. The support. From comments to props to becoming a fã of someone, there are just so many ways to support others on this site! It makes me feel like we are a big happy (if not incredibly dysfunctional) family here on Fanpop.

5. The idea in general. The idea of fanpop is insanely amazing. I amor the idea of being able to come on here and just talk about my favorito TV shows and not seem totally insane! (Because my friends don't watch a lot of the stuff I do so they think I'm mental when I quote it 24/7.)

6. The united Smurf hatred. Whether you are a Smurf hater or not, this just cracks me up. Some of the comment left in regards towards Smurfs (dazl) just make me laugh so hard.

7. The soapbox articles! These give the fãs a way to express their feelings about something, make and announcement, or just find an outlet for boredom (like I am right now). Plus, I amor leitura them and there are some darn creative people out here on this lovely site.

8. The lack of ads. Sure, there are some ads when you go to watch vídeos and stuff, and at the top, but other than that, fanpop is pretty much ad-free. I amor that fanpop has not sold out, like some other sites (coughmyspacecough).

9. The videos! I get to catch up with some of my favorito TV shows because of you guys! I actually first discovered this site because I was searching for some Office episodes, so there you go.

10. The icons. All the ícones you enviar are hilarious. Actually, my wallpaper is currently made of them. (I know, I have much too much free time.) Those things make me laugh so hard sometimes.

Well, anyway, as I sit here with my broken toe, trying to finish a book, I can't help but open up my computer and log onto my favorito site, Fanpop.

I amor it here.

Yes, I am fired up again over another issue of cruelty here on Fanpop... specifically the practice of passing judgment on other users.
Let's face it, we do not know each other personally, and for the most part none of us have ever met in real life. I think it is cruel and sad that people find it necessary to try to judge the intentions or actions of others. How could anyone possibly judge another person or their actions without knowing them personally or knowing the things they are going through. You could not possibly say what you would do in their situation without...

Okay, I don't know if it's just coincidence but I noticed this week that some picks just are, I don't quite know how to describe it, bad.

It just seems that a lot of picks are asked so that they are asked, a lot of them don't have pictures. (that's not very important but I can't help noticing)
But the worst thing is that there are so many typos in the questions. Look, my English is not very good, I make a lot of mistakes but al least I try to make as less as possible. I mean, a lot of perguntas are just so wrong, the 'preview' thing that you get when you've finished making your pick is there...

A few minutos atrás I thought of a partial answer to the recent outbreak of internet trolls we've had over the last few moths.

Ladies and Gentlepoppers, I introduce to you:

The ATSOF (The Anti Troll Squad Of Fanpop)
This will be a society of fanpoppers who work together to justly rate any content which has (without reason) been rated low.

My plan is to make an ATSOF Spot; if a spot or particular piece of content has been rated low you can alert the ATSOF spot about this and some of the "fans" of the spot will head over to the content and rate the content fairly, therefore boosting the rating.

Please tell me what you think; I don't want to create a Ghost-Spot-to-be

If we make a new spot we want to make it popular. Recently I made a new spot so when I wanted to send a message to all my friends about it I got tired of typing individual messages so I quit. So we should be able to send one message to all our friends at the same time if necessary. Also there should be an area that says "new spots" on the início page so that people can see what has been recently created and if they want to cadastrar-se the particular spot. It would really make the people who created the spots happy because they could get some good publicity.

por the way I made a new spot about Kal Penn, the indian guy from the furgão, van wilder movies, Harold and Kumar go to white castle, and Epic Movie.

So if u like those filmes check it out. all you have to do is type "Kal Penn" in the procurar engine" (obviously, I know)

Also this soapbox was ment for the fanpop spot
This part of my link details how you can format text in your postings on Fanpop, and the artigo was last edited (to fix typographical errors) on 17 July 2013.

TEXT FORMATTING
Those of you who have written soapbox artigos before may have seen the guide that fanpop provides for formatting text. But maybe you've never written a soapbox artigo or never noticed the key, and have been wondering how some users manage to make their text mais interesting. With these tags, you can:
* boldface your text
* put your text in italics
* underline your text
* have your text point to a different url link

I know you folks are tired of hearing about crediting images. I'm not here to beat that into your head yet again. I've already done that... and I continue to do it in comments on your imagens when you forget.

No. This time I am here to give you a helpful tip. A lot of you have paid attention and are now putting a credit on your images. Thank you for that! The problem now is a lack of film knowledge, which is very forgivable.

You see, when it comes to movies, forget what I said earlier about crediting the website you got the image from if you can't find the actual owner of the image. With movies,...

It has come to my attention that my gift for words has been failing me miserably these past few days. What I mean to impart is coming off as bitchiness rather than humerous or helpful.

For that, I want to apologize. Especially to Harold, who works hard for this site and didn't deserve to feel like he was under attack at all. I'm an idiot. I would offer to smooch and make up, but I'm too old to be getting beat up por anyone's wife...

Now, having said that, I am going to go over a few things that might be responsible for this mood lately. I simply feel like I am banging my head against the wall...

When I first clicked onto Fanpop, I felt like something was a little different. It wasn't like MySpace or YouTube (not that I have anything against the people who use them), where I normally get the feeling that people I don't know are looking at my profile. I felt like I could message the users on here and not get a rude or creepy message back. I could comment, rate, and make picks without anyone (besides the occasional bad-mannered user) commenting on my own opinions. I could add things and feel really great when someone else gave me props or commented on how thankful they were for that item. And, I am so glad that fanpop has stayed this way! I feel so comfortable on here and only know 4 other fanpoppers in real life. I just wanted to compliment all of the wonderful users on how great they are on making this an awesome site to be on! You are all part of the reason I am now very addicted to Fanpop!

When I first started on fanpop I didn't exactly know what fanpop really was, I just was on fanpop so I could see vídeos of my favourite tv shows.
But then I noticed that you could do other things like answering picks and I started to do that.
Some picks made me laugh really hard, other made me think about things that I've never really thought about.
I did that for a while and it was (and still is) really fun to do and then I began to notice that when I couldn't sleep, or just was bored, I was making picks in my head.

And then I had this brilliant idea (yes, I know, I'm a genius:D) that I could...

As most of you know, there is a special holding pen for newly-created spots -- the link arena. Spots remain there until:
a) they have a significant amount of links, vídeos & images
b) there are enough fãs to deem it popular ... or at least raise its status out of the 'geek stuck in the trash can' level.

Often I roam around, looking at these new creations, trying to help out those poor spots that have no videos, links, picks, or imagens to their name. But there are still spots there that were born over a ano atrás with little to no links to make it interesting enough to join.

So I would like...

 I coração pick additions! Truly!
I heart pick additions! Truly!
Just out of curiousity, how do people feel when they've created a pick, find pictures, spell- and grammar-proof the question, finally send it out to the world -- and two weeks later discover new choices that r ovrwhielminley mispeled, say "all of the above" or "none of the above", or are green numbers among all of the pretty pictures?

Well, you can read between the lines for my opinion. But I don't know whether this is a personal irritant or whether many mais besides me feel this way.

Of course, there is a time and place for everything. Crazy_chica added a "None of the above" option to my link...

Why is it on imagens that there are so many mais views than there are people who rated it? It makes me really sad, because I like to see what people think of the content I add. Now, I realize that there are people who view imagens a mais than once, but what I don't understand is when some of my imagens have 87 views and only 2 people (one of which is me) who rated it. In the past I used to be guilty of this, however after adding a lot of content I realized that how good it made me feel when people took the 2 segundos it takes to rate my content. I mean you are already there, and you veiwed it,...
