disney sequels. The base-breakers of the disney fandom. Some amor them, some hate them. Some think they bring new perspectives to beloved characters, while others think they ruthlessly destroy and twist every aspect of the original movie. Well, one thing must be admitted: they were made with the intent to leite mais money for the franchise. But does that make all of them necessarily bad? No, but it does not make for a good start, really.

I think "The encantada Christmas" is proof of this. Having seen it yesterday, I can attest it has a lot of "pros" and "cons", which makes for a mixed bag. So I can understand both people who amor it and people who hate it - moderately, though. I would find it weird, to say the least, if someone declared this to be one of the best filmes of all time; and I am disturbed to learn that a popular reviewer found this to be worst than the Holocaust.

But enough of the introduction (honestly, that is the hardest part). To review the movie, I'll break it down in topics I found noteworthy to talk about. In the end, I'll embrulho, envoltório it up por giving the main departments a rating and averaging the sumn for the total score.

—The Story—

I like the idea of learning what Belle's natal was like when she was captive in the Beast's castle. However, I think that the producers should have separated it from the whole "A natal Carol-esque" plot. If a princess were to estrela a movie like that, I'd chosen cinderela or Snow White (more on that later). I think the right storyline would've been about Belle feeling downhearted because this is a special time of ano for her and her father, but then the Beast cheers her up with the help from his servants. I think it would have proved to be fitting and also mais original and an important step in the Beast' development and in the couple's relationship.

— The Songs —

I fell in amor with Stories. It is a gorgeous song - the melody's so rich. I find I prefer the Brazilian Portuguese lyrics, as well as the singers' performance. But the English version is the basis, so credit is mais than due here. As Long as There's Christmas is heartwarming (and can be fun too, when sung por the objects), but I stand por saying that it would have fared even better with cinderela or Snow White. It is a hymn of hope, and these are the princesses which better embodies this quality. When Belle and Angelique sang the reprise surround por the other objects in the dungeon, I at once thought of cinderela cantar it in the chatêau's attic and the mice listening to her lovingly. And I can see it, clear as day, Snow White trying to convince Grumpy to celebrate natal like the rest of the dwarfs.

Deck The Halls is as cheery and catchy as always. A Cut Above the Rest is silly and not annoyingly so. Don't Fall In Love is caotic, sloppy, and the actual scene is even worse - mais about it later.

— The Animation —

The animation isn't amazing, but it is good. It is a bit too cartoony to me. The as cores lack refinement and nuance. Maestro Forte's CGI comes dangerously close to being an eyesore a few times. But if there's one thing they succeed in, it's making Belle beautiful. Her features are very soft, and she also is mais consistent here than she is in the first movie.

One scene the animation blew me off though: Stories. The animation was gorgeous, it managed to reproduce the feel of classical, ancient drawings on a fairy tale book. It reminded me of Walter Crane's illustrations at times, which I think was what they wanted.

— Belle —

"The encantada Christmas" Belle is often called a doormat, and while I can see where it is coming from, I think the choice of word might be too strong for the case. Putting it simple, I don't like the scene where the Beast throws Belle in the dungeon and says she'll rot there forever. It is a major step back for his character. And I like it even less when she simply forgives him as if it was nothing. Locking up Maurice was different: that was before he saved her from the wolves, before he showed that there was some good in him too. But I think Belle, in accordance with her character in the original film, would have been indignant and would have stood up to the Beast, if not run away. Because there he was, breaking her trust and being abusive again.

Also, it bothers me that Belle's attitude thorough the movie is basically "If I amor Christmas, then everyone must amor it too! This Beast will like Christmas, either he wants to or not!" She is right in trying to provide the servants with the right to celebrate Christmas, but she shouldn't try to force the Beast to like it too. She should respect his trauma.

Btw, I really liked the scene about the Yule Log where Beast asks "Is this what you wished for?" (I don't know the exact words in English). Clever dialogue.

— Maestro Forte —

I think "Th encantada Christmas" might have worked better without a villain, or at least with a redeemed villain. I think Forte doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie. He is too unscrupulous, too wicked. I think the right portrayal would have been that of a spiteful, decadent old maestro who was not on the prime of his career anymore and thus found the transformation somewhat comforting. He fears change and thus wants Belle far, far away from the castelo (but not dead), but in the end he is touched por her kindness and lets go of the rancor.

The worst part is Forte's superpowers. Floating green notes that can shape-shift and actually touch matter, coming to the point of being able to hold the Beast? That is too far-fetched. And let's not even talk about the castle-destroying organ música of doom. The purpose of the Enchantress's transformation of the servants into objects is to their abillities, not to enhance them.

— Wraping Up —

Okay, after expanding my thoughts on the topics that caught my attention, it's rating time.

Plot and Execution: 6/10. Good concepts, but could have been revised and improved before execution. No problems with pacing, but the narrative proves problematic at points, such as when Belle is imprisoned in the dungeons.
Characters: 4/10. The main characters are out of tune with their portrayal in the original movie at times. The villain is over-the-top and not in a good way. The side characters seem to stay faithful to their origins, but they don't cause that much of an impact on you this time. Some minor characters from the first movie (namely Babette and the Wardrobe) were abandoned, whereas they could have been expanded on - a missed opportunity.
Music: 7/10. One amazing song (Stories), one touching song (As Long As There's natal Reprise), two good songs (As Long As There's Christmas and Deck The Halls), one mediocre song (A Cut Above The Rest) and one terrible song (Don't Fall in Love). I didn't pay attention to the score, which means it is likely very unremarkable.
Animation: 7/10. Decent most of time (6) + Gorgeous Stories sequence (+2) - Forte's bad CGI (-1).

AVERAGE SCORE: 6,0

All in all, while this might not be a fantastic movie or in the same level as the original, it's still a good movie with some stand outs, one that I enjoyed watching.

Well, that's it. I hope you have enjoyed leitura my review of "The encantada Christmas". Thank you for checking it out!

She almost couldn’t believe her eyes. Belle had never had a connection to her Mother before, other than the painting that hung in their small drawing room. She died when Belle was just a baby, so she literally had no memory of her, which was most unfortunate. She took it downstairs and showed it to her Father. “Did you know about this, Papa?” Belle asked. Maurice took the diary and sat down on the sofa. “No, I didn’t. I just always thought it was another one of your Mothers books. She liked to read like you. She even read to you when she was pregnant! A lot of people thought she was...

The Princess and the Pea

The story starts long atrás in a far away country. In the country there lives a smart and Valente handsome prince, named Antonio who has to marry a "true princess" to save his kingdom from peril. Princesses from far and wide have failed because of his jealous step mother, queen Sonya who has placed a curse on the kingdom that's so powerful, only true amor can stop it.

The curse goes:
"If one does not feel a ruffle in her sheet, the kingdom will become dark and bleak. A princess of true grace and nobility, one of good faith and sensitivity, will destroy the wicked spell,...

My seguinte Interview is with the Characters from Disney’s Pocahontas. Pocahontas requested the interview be held at Grandmother Willows árvore (something about her being able to make everyone understand each other) and I consented, as long as the critters leave us alone. Kocoums spirit is also going to cadastrar-se us for a moment, but John Rolfe is busy in Londres and could not come. Radcliffe was also banned from this interview. John Smith is coming with his friend Thomas and Pocahontas is bringing Nakoma. I am hoping for another calm interview, but we shall see.

In the movie Tangled, it's not made obvious whether Rapunzel's reunion with her parents takes place in the morning or afternoon. Analysis of the light and shadows of various morning and afternoon scenes shows that the reunion takes place at dawn, and may imply that Eugene and Rapunzel spend the night in the tower.

Here we see the first shot of the tower after the opening prologue. Rapunzel states it's 7:00 AM. The light comes from the side, and does not directly shine into the door window. The waterfall is in a narrow shadow.

A few days atrás I made a pick about what the name of Snow White's and Prince's daughter would be and the majority chose Rose Red so I hope you'll enjoy this fã fiction!

If you ever met Rose Red in real life you would be jovens bruxas por her beauty because she had the beauty of her mother, but with her father's eyes. Her hair was long and curly and she was loved por everyone just like her mother, but she had never heard her mother's horrible background story so she thought that no one could be jealous of her beauty. Her mother loved her very much and Rose Red thought that she would never have a better...

I didn’t think I would get to go to the ball.
My stepsisters ripped up my dress after all.
Then out of nowhere my Fairy Godmother appeared.
And she told me not to fear.
She said she would take care of everything.
Then she took out her magic wand, and started to swing.
She made me a beautiful carriage out of a pumpkin!
She looked at me and began to grin.
She transformed my rags into the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen.
It was so pretty I could’ve passed as a Queen!
I even had shoes made out of glass.
I was ready to go, at last!
She told me it would only last until midnight,
And I told...

Places 31 to 40 link

30. Sneezy
I was very surprised that Sneezy made to the topo, início 30, and made it past Dopey. I like him, but it annoys me a little that the movie has to stop when he sneezes. Some people find him gross and not memorable at all.

"I don't like sneezes... ew." - heathersvan

"gross" - CockerSpaniels

"He's ridiculous" - BraBrief

I didn't completely understand why this "girl" was the first one to leave. She doesn't bother me (even if I disliked her, her appearence is a little fast). Maybe that's the problem... During all her screentime she's trying to explain things to Naveen and Tiana, and by...

I will also write their swedish names (for a few of them) and let you decide which swedish name is your favorito and the one you think is the prettiest. Image credit goes to as usual Elemental-Aura (top image) and princesslullaby (bottom images). Compared to the english one, this one was thougher to decide where each of them where going to be placed because they all have wonderful voices.

Here is my fifth article! I decided to write two lists about my favorito cantar voices, this list is the english voices, the seguinte one will be with their swedish voices (same goes for their speaking voices which I will do after the cantar voices) because swedish is my first language and I grew up with most of the swedish versions of the princesses (except for Tiana and Rapunzel). For the swedish version I will post links to vídeos so that you can choose a favorito aswell. Image credit goes to Elemental-Aura for the beautiful topo, início image and princesslullaby for the rest of the pictures.

10. Aurora

I don't hate her, and I don't necessarily dislike her personality. But Aurora barely does anything. She basically sang, danced, and cried. Her personality just wasn't that strong. The three fadas were mais enjoyable. So Aurora did nothing to impress me in her whole 18 minutes.

9. Snow White

I found her to be a little mais interesting than Aurora. Snow White seemed to have been focused...

This artigo was written collectively by: Cromulanfav, DreamyGal, & Princesslullaby

To explain: This one is the toughest to write, por far. First of all, Pocahontas wouldn't care about the princesses, certainly not enough to make a list, and she wouldn’t be judgmental of any of them; she'd like them all and would probably be against making a list. Pocahontas really would be neutral to all of them. So it's not in her nature to make a list. But, it's just who we think she'd amor the most, if she would. We believe at least to Pocahontas, the most important things are a princess following...

10. Sleeping Beauty: No long explanation needed, “I wonder” is simply too short to leave much of an impact. It’s a wonderful tune, but with a very basic text on it. Nevertheless, I seriously considered putting it slightly higher, because it fits Aurora's dreamy personality perfectly.

Fanpop says: Basically, boring. Also “It would have been better if it lasted a little bit longer, but it goes por really fast.” (founten). The voting for this category...

Her eyes were intense as she glared at John Rolfe.
