Okay, I'm workin' on this one solo and much less calmer than I was when I vented out the last one. I'll admit, things got screwed up on the last one and those are how I honestly rank them, but I didn't know how to explain very well. When asking for help and conselhos to make things better...it didn't turn out well. So you won't find me or my slightly idiotic cousin on the list of smarts. I wanna apologize for the last one because I owed you guys something so much better. Honestly, that was a way to relieve crap going on and it helped relieve stress. I knew I wanted to do smarts, but I shoulda asked someone smarter to help me. Thank you all for the feedback, it's very helpful and I totally agree with what most of you say.

Oh and that video link, merely for humor. I find it hilarious. The site that mentioned Ariel as a hoarder is actually a pretty funny site too (cracked.com); they even said Belle had a mental problem but my cousin only linked me the Ariel portion. I also like the pics I put up, and trust me it was hard to find good pics of hipster princesses w/out coming across a pic of hipster witch from Snow White- and if you don't know what I mean por that, I'll explain it in a different article.

So you guys deserve an apology for a poorly written, semi vent, semi rant, piece of crap. I'm sorry.

On a positive note, no mais princess evaluations. Now we get into other aspects of the princess movies. So now let's focus on...

Disney Princess Couples

I wanted to do this one because I amor amor and I'm one of the biggest hopeless romantics ever! Plus I think I kinda talked about the boys in the last artigo too. So let's combine the boys and girls and discuss DP coupling

And as a disclaimer; these are opinions, please respect them. Here's hoping for a redemption article.

10. cinderela & Charming

Yep, she's last at something. But she's not solo so...still it's a little weird for her to be last at something for me.

Now, to be fair; this is the ANIMATED disney PRINCESS VERSION. I absolutely amor other versions of cinderela and her prince whether he be a Rodger's & Hammerstein's Prince, the surprisingly jerky Into the Woods jerk prince, an animated Jimmy Smits as a Mexican prince, or Matthew Broderick. That's right MATTHEW FRICKIN BRODERICK! What do those cinderela princes have in common?

They actually went looking for their princess!

-FAN QUESTION: Has anyone seen The Slipper and the Rose? Did Richard Chamberlain go looking for cinderela in that version?

Seriously, I (along with practically everyone else) wish that Prince "Charming" (if that his name name) went off to look for the maiden from the ball he fell in amor with. Fun fact; disney never planned to show the Prince searching for Cindy. They planned other scenes like Fairy Godmother showing up at the end and good old princy on a hunting trip. But nope, he couldn't look for his princess. What if something happened to the slipper before they got to the Tremaine house? He would be the only one who could recognize the girl wouldn't he? This is a high factor in addition to serious lack of character why I'm not a fã of the prince.

But let's look at the two as a couple...

While I amor all types of romance, sometimes amor at first sight irks me. Probably because it seems less realistic. So he looks up, sees her, and it's 'oh, I amor this mystery maiden'. He approaches her, she seems startled, but he kisses her hand and it's all cool she loves him too now and they dance and kiss. Fine, amor at first sight can happen. But I think their romance was a little forced. All they do is dance and kiss then she runs off and he doesn't look for her. Once he gets his help to go after her and they find her, the film cuts to their wedding. I pergunta if they took any time to get to know each other or if the wedding took place later that dia or the seguinte day. So to me, they seemed rushed, forced, and it leaves me questioning. If he's the one who fell in amor at first sight, why didn't he go after her? And Cindy, why didn't you escape your início life to find the guy you fell in amor with? Yeah, you play a part in this romance too. Why didn't you go look either? And did you take any time to get to know each other?

I'm not gonna go into sequels where there was SLIGHT improvement. I'm trying to focus on original filmes only...but I probably won't for number 8.

9. mulan & Shang

I still haven't seen all of mulan in a while, but I asked for the DVD for natal so here's hoping I get it. But I think maybe if she tried to impress him as man, she had a small infatuation for him as a woman. Shang however was married...to his job. Workaholics, huh? But after it's discovered she's a woman, then she saves him and her country, he comes to her house for jantar with the family and the gramma instantly likes him.

Okay, I feel like I have to talk about the sequel in this one too. Now in the sequel, they're going to get married. I haven't seen all of the sequel, just bits and pieces because I was babysitting and they wouldn't keep quiet and I had to chase after the little monsters. So I don't know the time span between the original and the sequel- I just know Eddie Murphy wasn't Mushu and in the end mulan and Shang get married along with the three army buddies. Sorry for spoilers, but like I said, I haven't seen the sequel(Feedback is good so correct me if I'm wrong about mulan or the sequel).

But unlike Cindy and Charming, they didn't fall in amor instantly and I suspect they took time to get to know each other and fall in love. Again, correct me if I'm wrong.

8. Pocahontas & John Smith

This one had serious potential. And I appreciate that it was a getting to know you romance too. It was also semi Romeo & Juliet because they were from different worlds and couldn't see each other, so they saw each other in secret (I like Romeo & Juliet stories, sue me). And yeah, I'll admit I felt some kinda upset when they said goodbye to each other. I secretly hoped we'd see them get together again. They surprisingly made a good couple to me given the potential they had. Also for a while, I actually believed the real Pocahontas married the real John Smith before I got all the facts.

Then came the sequel...and John Rolfe.

John Smith was so OOC (out of character) in the sequel. He became like a total jerk to Pocahontas. The same guy who nearly died for her while protecting both her and her father? Seriously? I think Rolfe and Pocahontas ended up together because that's how it was in real life. Wow, disney sticking to the facts.

7. Rapunzel & Flynn

Hmm, I like these two characters, but I don't know why they're kinda low.

When marketing this animated movie, they put focus on mostly Flynn to get the boys just as interested. They figured girls would already be interested I guess. Well, while I disagree with the tactics, I thought they made the trailer appealing to all masses.

Flynn is a suave bad boy who sneaks into Rapunzel's tower. How do they first meet? She hits him upside the head with a frying pan. Good start, I suppose; assume he's an intruder. So they spend their time getting to know each other through bribery. Yeah, I admit it. They only got together through bribery. Yet another example of a good start. He just wants to get the lantern deal done and over with so that he can get the tiara and they can get on with their lives and he tries to humiliate her and keep her off his back. They still stick with each other because he promised to take her to the lights and she saves his life- which creeps him out a little bit. Then they go to the kingdom where she seems to charm everyone else like at the Snuggly patinho and he's gradually showing some feeling. Then the latern deal happens and he sees a metaphorical light and realizes he likes her. She thinks she likes him too, then Gothel interferes and gets rid of him convincing Rapunzel he doesn't amor her. Of course, Flynn escapes, returns to save her, and gets killed in the process. Yet again, she saves him (which I admit, I appreciate girl power) and they stick together.

I like this couple, but the circumstances surrounding how they come to amor each other couldn've been a little better for me and not just he's gonna take her to see lights to get a tiara. They weren't gonna fall in love, but it seem contrived that they do so. It sounds mean when I say that, but honestly, I do like them together. They're the fun couple.

6. Ariel & Eric

I don't know why I like these two together. I realized Ariel is obsessed with humans and when she comes across the first human she has the hots for, she (in my opinion) becomes obsessed with him and it's not real love. Eric meanwhile, is in amor with the voice (as am I, I amor Jodi's voice) and he keeps saying he's gonna find the girl w/ the voice. But honestly, does he go looking? I don't think so, he just says he will and Ariel shows up w/out a voice. He does fall the mute redhead and realizes that he should stop looking for the girl w/ the voice. Then Urusla in disguise, finds him. And you know, Grimsby convinced Eric he was in amor with Ariel. Did Eric do anything for himself when it came to women?

So why are they so high?

Honestly, they were one of the first romances I liked growing up. Growing up, I thought they made a good couple. Then I got older and...here we are today. I think I like them better in the sequel when they're parents, they show amor to their daughter while still managing to prove they have the hots for each other after at least 13 years together (don't tell me I'm the only one who didn't amor their kiss). I do prefer them in their sequel compared to the original, but growing up I wanted a boy like Eric.

And yet I always wanted to be like Cinderella. So a Cinderella/Eric pairing? Nah, I couldn't see Eric with anyone but Ariel. So, I guess that's why they're where they are.

5. Tiana & Naveen

Some other things I amor in relationships are growth and changes. And we saw that in Naveen's part. He started out as a playboy obsessed with money and when he learned Tiana was a waitress and not a princess, he was being a tool. Eventually, he soon came to appreciate her and fell in amor with her. He actually had growth and change. He went from a lazy rich playboy to a decent guy who actually does work for himself and others (we saw him working at the restaurant didn't we?). Granted he had literal change when he became a frog, but we liked him as a frog didn't we?

As for Tiana...not so much change except when she becomes a frog. Yes she does realize in the end amor is important and her dream means nothing without Naveen (who was willing to marry charlotte to help fufill Tiana's dream), but then what? We still see her working in the restaurant, and even dancing (something Naveen taught her). But did she really change? Now hey, I don't think she did. But if you guys do, don't hesistate to tell me I amor hearing what you have to say.

As a couple, they were opposites. It's cliche, but I amor couples with opposite personalities- I also amor the love-hate-love relationship that we see with most opposites. And the two of them in a relationship showed growth and change. Their relationship- sans turning into frogs- is realistic to me and I also like realism.

Oh, and I like their dancing scenes. Much like real relationships, I amor when couples teach each other new things.

4. Snow White & Prince

DUDE WHAT THE HECK IS YOUR NAME?

I don't know why I amor this romance. They have the least screen time together out of all the couples, their romance seems a bit rushed and forced, and everything about their amor is kinda creepy.

Okay, he hears her singing, sneaks over her wall, and frightens her. But he shows he's not a bad guy and he has the hots for her por cantar to her. Well Snow gets turned on por this and decides, 'yeah, I'm in amor with this guy'. Well she drops out of sight for at least a ano while he's been supposedly searching for her. Where does he find her? Dead in the woods? How did he find her when the dwarfs had no connection to the outside world? I dunno, maybe he can talk to animais and one of Snow's animais found him. So he kisses her dead body and that somehow ressurects her from a sleeping death spell he didn't know about*. Coolness.

*According to IMDb, animators planned a scene where the queen held the prince in her dungeon and made skeleton dances for his amusement. Maybe this seems a little less creepy when he kisses Snow White's dead body.

This relationship is just all around creepy, but disney makes it look so innocent...

...and the innocence is why I amor it.

Looking at it from the romantic POV, he falls in amor with her and goes searching for her when she's missing. Yes, she thinks about him too and hopes they marry. When he does find her, he feels he's too late and maybe there's a guilt complex. So still finding her beautiful even in death, he gives her a gentle kiss and cries beside her body. It's a magic kiss, she wakes up, and he lets her ride on his horse into the sunset to what we can assume is her dream castle. This relationship is one you have to look at from two sides.

But if we're being honest...I kinda like weird and unusual romances mixed in w/ slight creepiness. And I grew up with this romance and dreamed that a guy I like would wake me up with a magic kiss just like the prince did. I felt they were able to play out a whole innocent, beautiful romance in the short time they had together. This is why they're high up to me.

3. Aurora & Phillip

Another one of those cases where younger me wishes I was under a spell so a prince would kiss me.

While this relationship is similar to Snow White, it's not as creepy and is purely romantic. He hears her cantar in the forest (what is it with these princes and girl's voices?) and wants to find her. When he sees the face w/ the voice, it's amor at first sight. So he sneaks up behind her and sings to her. This frightens her, but he assures her everything's cool por cantar and she's like 'wow, I'm in love'. They share a dance, followed por one of the most romantic head-on-shoulder moments before she runs of saying she can never see him again and doesn't say her name. Well, she loves him too much (not knowing he's a prince) and tells him he can come por her início later. He does, gets captured, and the villain fills him in on her real identity and what went down. The sidekicks help him escape, he battles the minions, then Dragon Maleficent in that awesome climax, kisses his princess, and end with a beautiful dance among the clouds.

But, this romance is just romance. It's amor at first sight, and not getting to know you romance like I like. However, in this case, Phillip and Aurora make it work.

You ever notice how in the segundo part after Aurora discovers she's a princess they never speak. Seriously, he doesn't even make noises! I like when couples have things in common, but the two amor interests not speaking for the entire segundo part of the movie?

2. Belle & Beast

Yep, I amor the falling in amor aspect. Much like Tiana and Naveen, they're opposites who grow to like, then amor each other. There's definite growth and change in the beast who goes from selfish beast to decent guy. Yes there's the issue of Stockholm Syndrome, but I do like unusual romances and that is a bit unusual for me. The transformation scene where she reveals she loves him is just beautiful and while I don't cry, I wish I could at that scene (but only 1 disney movie will make me cry sad tears). I don't feel Belle goes through change, but she does admit she has feelings for Beast and even opts to return to him when she has the opportunties to espcape or stay away. I also amor that this romance taught us not to judge books por their covers and that apperances may be deceving. I watch this movie at least once a mês and always find myself cheering the end...

...even though the end ripped off Sleeping Beauty.

I can't say for sure why they're so high up. Maybe it's the scenes they're in. The original dance, the transformation scene, little subtle scenes between them, or that hot fireworks kiss that magically cures everything. I dunno, but they're number 2 and they deserve that spot.

1. aladdin & Jasmine

I amor them together! Always have, always will. I cannot see them with anyone but each other. Even when separated, they always find their way back to each other, they know each other's strengths and weaknesses, heck THEY EVEN GET MARRIED!!!!

I amor them in their original movie, their sequels, the TV series, everything! No matter what, this couple has always been my favorito and I never wanted to duplicate their amor w/ some Prince of mine.

I have nothing bad to say about them, really. Sure, they've fought, they've even hurt each other, but in the end...

...they live happily ever after.

I amor Al & Jas and they deserve the number 1 spot, and a happy ever after.

Ah, l'amour.

Due to me running low on picks and things to say, I don't think I'll be letting anyone know via pesquisa that another artigo is up. However, to compensate for that, I'll tell ya the seguinte category.

Tune in seguinte time for: favorito disney Movie
