If you look at this list, you might notice that most of those songs and scores are set to montages. They are played when either a longer timespan passes by, or when the movie tries to convey some sort of development or message. This time around, aladdin and cinderela are not included, there was no song or score which fit the criteria.

8. Princess and the Frog: Yeah, I think this will surprise no one. I said it before, but here the main problem I have with “Dig a little deeper”: The text makes no sense. It’s an example of what happens, when someone uses figurative language without really thinking about the figure of speech chosen. “Dig a little deeper” is not the most creative allegory, but on its own it works. “Blue Skies and sunshine” is a great contrast to Dr. Facilier’s magic, which is based on shadows. But combine those together and you get the oddest picture imaginable – dig a little deeper and you’ll find blue skies and sunshine? I wasn’t aware that I have to dig to the other side of the earth.
Another thing I really dislike about this is the upfront message. Mama Odie is mais or less telling Tiana and Naveen what they should do next, instead of allowing them to come to their own conclusions. Nothing against giving them a hint, but this text is mais or less a manual to a happy ending (how Tiana could misunderstand the song at all is beyond me). The important part are the rules of the curse – but it would have been really nice to get those closer to the start of the movie, not when it’s nearly over. (Truthfully, I would have preferred to watch Tiana and Naveen trying to reach Lottie a whole dia instead of wandering aimlessly around in the swamp.)
And the música – I suppose if I heard the piece a couple of times, I might grow to like it, but I don’t really want to. It doesn’t engage me at all.

Fanpop says: This got voted as the worst, although it has at least one fan. “Dig a little deeper is awesome” (ajotma). There is also some definite dislike for it, which seems to be similar to the reaction Snow White sometimes gets. “I dislike Mama Odie and her song even more” (ArielandEric).

7. The Little Mermaid: “Tour of the Kingdom” is a nice, catchy melody, which underlines the dia Eric and Ariel spend together really well. But it’s also what we call in German “Plätschermusik” – música which is played in the background to lull in our senses. As much as I amor this one, I think that the other pieces on this list do a better job in elevating the scene they are played on.

Fanpop says: This is one of those middle songs, which are neither overly liked nor overly disliked. Some votes in each category, one or two mentions as runner-up.

6. Snow White: I admit I cut the movie a little bit slack here. If it was done today, Snow White wouldn’t sing “With a Smile and a Song” sitting down while the animais are hopping around her, she would walk through the forest towards her destination. Since she does just sit down, it boils down to her saying “I’ll get though this” in a very lengthy manner, something which would pull this song towards the very bottom of the list, if I didn’t know that the arrangement is related to the problems with human animation. If you pay attention to the movie, you'll notice this couple of times: Snow White is either sitting down, or fading into the background, while the animais or the dwarves take over the scene.
A neat little trick, overall, but for this list, I might have put Snow White at the very bottom nevertheless, if not for the other song “Whistle While you Work”. It works perfectly to fill the time between Snow White arriving at the cottage and the dwarves coming home. While cleaning is not a really exciting theme for a song, this is one of the tunes which just stuck in your mind. From all the songs in “Snow White and the seven dwarves”, this is the most modern one – or perhaps, it’s the one which has the most drive to it.

Fanpop says: “With a smile and a song” got voted third worst, and a lot of dislike was expressed for both songs, because, what a surprise, Snow White sings them. I wish I would at least once get a comment about the songs and not about the character or her voice.

5. Beauty and the Beast: I originally considered “Something There” as amor song, and it is one in a sense, but even mais it’s the descrição of Belle and the Beast getting to know each other. It’s a good song, which describes the feelings of Belle and the Beast very well, a song I really love, but taking a good look at it, it's mostly the scene which makes the song special. It has the nice, thoughtful feel to it, though.

Fanpop says: Third best, so I went a little bit against popular opinion. “I amor the way we see them falling in love, it is a so romantic song.” (Saphir).

4. Sleeping Beauty: I suspect most of the people had no idea what score I meant when I put “A Fairy Tale Come True” up for vote. To clarify: The score gets played twice in the movie, the segundo time shortly after Prince Phillip has defeated Maleficent, when he goes up the tower to kiss Aurora. But the first time is the reason I put it on this list: It’s when Maleficent shows Phillip the future she has planned for him in her crystal ball. What makes the scene so griping for me is the fact that she isn’t gloating (well, she is, but in a very unusual manner), she is telling him a story – her voice would fit a fairy tale audio play, the música has this romantic feel to it, but we see this image of Philip as an old, broken man in a truly horrifying future. I like the synchronism in using the same música for the possible happy ending for the villain and the real happy ending.

Fanpop: segundo worst, which isn’t really surprising, considering that nobody seemed to have an idea what score I was talking about. There is a difference between not remembering a score played in a certain scene, and not knowing a score because you happen to not know its name. I suspect that the latter was the real problem here. At least nobody commented on the score itself.

3. Tangled: The “Kingdom’s Dance” might be the best piece of música in Tangled. Just hearing the música I automatically want to dance, but that’s not what makes the score special. It’s the way the música gets faster and faster, crescents, up to the point when Rapunzel and Eugene are meeting each other, just to stop abruptly. That’s so well done.

Fanpop says: Fourth place, but it is a typical runner-up song and got mentioned a couple of times. “This one and the Kingdoms Dance from Tangled.I just the música to it,it makes you want to dance! I know when I was at disney World Rapunzel and Flynn showed me how to do the kingdom dance,it was fun!” (PociandSmith)

2. Mulan: I really shouldn’t enjoy “Make a man out of you” that much. Take it out of context and it’s a celebration of every male stereotype possible. The military tune, being a girl used like an insult – a band which played this would be labeled as sexist immediately. But I do, because the song doesn’t shy away from playing with those stereotypes (while being a good solution to shorten the time mulan spends in training, without skipping her development).
And the other song, “Honor to us all” is mais or less the mirror to it, celebrating the female stereotypes. It’s less epic than “Make a man out of you”, but a good song nevertheless, and it works perfectly to show the society mulan has to live in.

Fanpop says: “Honor to us all” is one of those middle songs. “Make a man out of you” on the other hand made segundo place, with a lot of runner-up mentions. “Love it. I sing is all the time” (ellie53)

1. Pocahontas: If I would just follow my personal taste, I would put “Colors of the Wind” lower, simply because I don’t like it when someone or something is preaching to me. The whole message of the song is so upfront, although it at least uses some nice metaphors to convey it. But I can’t argue with a melody that powerful, an arrangement that well done. This is not just a song; it’s THAT song, the one the whole movie is build around. Add the animation, and there is really no contestant for it – at least not in this category.

Fanpop says: Not unexpected, the clear winner.

Aurora was always third on my beauty list, but I had replaced her with Belle. Now there's Aurora instead of Rapunzel and Ariel, so she's fourth on my list. Aurora is a very beautiful princess.

Her hair reminds me of a golden waterfall. It's really nice to have your hair curled. Also, Aurora's eyes are perfect! tolet, violet color. The rarest eye color. Her lashes are also gorgeous and united. The shape of his payload is oval which is perfect. You are amazing Aurora.

I find Aurora very beautiful, but I can't say I amor her very much because I find her absolutely boring. She knows nothing but dancing, cantar and getting up with a kiss.

mmmm...I guess the one thing I like about her is that she really knows how to take care of herself out there. -Swanpride

She does one unique thing for a disney princess: she is called out on her selfishness and mistakes por the narrative, owns them, AND works to fix the problem. She realizes her mom has a point as much as Merida herself does and learns to appreciate her. Also, she learns true bravery- not shooting arrows, swinging a sword, or climbing waterfalls, but admitting you caused harm. That's never easy. Merida avoids some of the outdated tomboy princess tropes por doing all this, but...

1. Congrats on winning fã of the Month! How does it feel?
Thank you! It feels really amazing. I actually was fã of the mês once, back in the old fanpop days when the fã of the mês was still fairly new. Although, back then, once you won once, you couldn't be nominated ever again, so I actually never thought I would get to be fã of the mês again, which makes it all the mais of an honor for me.

2. We know you amor Moana and Ariel, do you have any other favorito princesses?
If you mean of the official disney Princesses, I'd say Mulan, Pocahontas, and Tiana are the ones I'm absolutely in...

I amor that despite how she grew up she's always optimistic and sweet, I amor her passion for painting and her art style, and I amor her cantar voice -BB2010

I amor Rapunzel's intelligence, creativity, and curiosity. She charted stars and never gave up on her dreams to see the floating lanterns. She is also very honest, kind, and optimistic, which I love. She sees the good in others and doesn't give up on anyone that she loves. -sunnyfields

I amor her enthusiasm! But I especially amor how she overcomes years of psychological abuse. She has so much inner strenght. -Swanpride

In 2013 Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante took the world por (ice) storm, it was everywhere. Let it Go played on the radio constantly, you couldn't go to a store without seeing Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante merch, everyone was talking about it, many thought it was one of Disney's best filmes in a long time.

Then the backlash began...

People got sick of all the Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante after a while, even now there's still Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante all over the place and people tend to roll their eyes when someone even mentions Frozen. The thing is, nothing about the movie or characters had changed, it was still a good movie with a decent soundtrack, interesting characters, and...

On the fourth dia of Princess
Walt disney gave to me,

four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.

As difficult as my pick for march was, as easy was the one for April. After all, the most obvious holiday to feature is Easter, and there is only one princess which came back from the death. The most difficult part for this one was to decide which dia to mark...the friday, the sunday, the monday or all of them. I felt that "all of them" would be going a little bit overboard, so I finally went for the monday. I hope that is okay with you.

And naturally I...
