Essay I wrote for US History Class, just thought you might want to read it...

"In Walt Disney’s 33rd animated feature, Pocahontas is portrayed as a young woman in her low twenties. John Smith comes over from England in procurar for a new land, but Ratcliffe, the main antagonist, is going there because he wants gold. When John Smith meets Pocahontas, he is at first as prejudice as all the other men. But after Pocahontas shows him the land, and convinces him they don’t have gold, he decided that he doesn’t want to hurt the Indians anymore. When he and Pocahontas fall in love, everything goes wrong. Kocoum, a Native American who wants to marry Pocahontas, gets jealous and John Smith is captured. After he is saved por Pocahontas, Ratcliffe shoots the Powhatan Chief, also Pocahontas’s father. John Smith jumps in to save him and is shot, and has to go back to England without Pocahontas. Even though the movie has many historical inaccuracies, it still is one of the best filmes ever made por disney and receives many praises for its animation, amor story, and soundtrack.
Despite the inaccuracies in the film, there are still many accuracies disney uses to defend its movie when it is ridiculed for portraying history wrong. To begin with, the settings and life style are both shown right. Jamestown was the name of the first settlement and was also set in the landscape shown. The Powhatan Tribe was also in the forest and their daily way of life is accurate. Second, John Ratcliffe was in charge of the colony. When John Smith was captured, he also led armies to rescue him. Lastly, John Smith wrote that he was indeed saved from death por young Pocahontas. Just like in the movie, she threw her head in-between Smith’s head and the Indian’s clubs.
There are many factual errors in this movie, mais than any other disney movie, and they are shown the most because this film was based off a true story. First of all, the biggest inaccuracy is the ages of John and Pocahontas. In the movie Pocahontas and John are both young adults, while in real life, Pocahontas was a girl of 11 and John Smith was 28. Next, John Smith and Pocahontas don’t fall in amor like they do in the movie. Even though Pocahontas does save him, they just simply because good friends. That makes mais sense, saying how far apart their ages are. Lastly, in the film John Smith is captured one night when he ventures out to meet Pocahontas, while in the real story he is captured when on an expedition dia in December when he got separated from his group.
In conclusion, very rarely is there a movie that can be so wrong with history but still so loved por children and adults everywhere. I believe that just as long as a historical movie has some facts in it, it can be as fictional as necessary. It’s obvious to see that if Pocahontas had been dead on accurate, it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable. Also, disney is known for its fairytale, falling-in-love aspect. That wouldn’t have been possible with an 11 ano old girl and a 28 ano old man. To finish off, Pocahontas is a wonderful movie for all ages and it will always be fun to watch a twist on the history as well as learning the true story."

It's no secret that I absolutely DESPISE the movie The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning. It's absolutely insulting, has terrible continuity, the original characters (except for Ariel) are completely different characters, Triton is a one-dimensional and exaggerated version of his former self, the story about música being banned is stupid, the villain is lame with an equally lame song, it's full of plot holes, the new characters are unnecessary and unmemorable, Athena died in a dumb way (Leave the música box you idiot), and it puts mais effort into gorgeous animation and good songs (Except for...

Hello, I'm PrueFever, a 32 years old guy from Denmark and a Major disney Fan! My all-time favorito disney Movie is The Little Mermaid, Walt Disney's 28th full-lenght animated classic from 1989. I just amor all the characters in the movie, the songs, the score and the animation. I grew up with Mermaid, it was the first disney Movie I saw, so there's definitely nostalgic reasons as well, I'm not gonna deny that! I can always watch the movie and my mood goes up 100%! It never fails to amaze me. Also, the voice actors in this movie is spetacular! Jodi Benson is great as Ariel and even greater as...

Years have gone por and the Tremaine's had been blessed with two little girls. The elder daughter was named Drizella, after her late grandmother, the Lady Drizella Tremaine. She had curly brown hair, dark eyes, a pointy nose, thin red lips, and wore green a lot with a big blue boy in her hair. She wasn't very pretty but she wasn't ugly either, she was only plainly pretty. She resembled her late grandmother and a little bit from her mother. She also was also very much like her grandmother because of her snobbish attitude and amor for the mais superficial things in life. However, she didn't inherit...

I know she's always typed as an Intuitive, especially an ENFP, and it's understandable why; I had once typed her as an ENFJ myself. She does, after all, just "know" the lights are "meant for me!" But is that really indicative of someone with strong intuitive preference? I think it's because this tendency for people to type nerdy/quirky/silly ESFJs as ENFPs, not only Rapunzel but characters like Steven Universe. It gets frustrating because that just implies only intuitives are inherently imaginative.

Anyway, to the typing:

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Rapunzel is very warm to everyone she meets....

 Astrological Zodiac Signs
Astrological Zodiac Signs
Okay so I have seen some artigos (outside of this site) with "Disney Princess astrologia Signs" but I always feel like they are inaccurate, most likely made por people who are not as big DP fãs as the people here. I also think they assign the DPs to specific astrologia signs based on their image rather than the substance of the character (i.e. Making Ariel a Pisces just because she's a mermaid or Merida a Sagittarius just because she loves archery.) That being said, I used to amor astrologia when I was a teenager, as I thought it was very neat and I have always loved the stars. I had a phase...

As some of you might be able to tell, I have been in a very musical mood lately. Along those themes, I wanted to make 2 música countdowns: 1 for Songs and 1 for Scores. I amor Disney's music, especially from the team of Alan Menken & Howard Ashman. I almost never like covers of DP songs por disney Pop stars so unless otherwise mentioned, all versions here are the original ones from the film. Here are my rankings for favorito songs:

Honorary Mentions:
With A Smile & A Song - Snow White & The 7 Dwarfs (So positive and uplifting plus an excellent message.) "There's no use in grumbling...

Okay so I have read multiple places on here that "Ariel just left her family for some guy she barely knew" and variations thereof. I coincidentally enough just watched this film within the last mês and remember it very freshly so I would like to contribute my opinion on this matter. First though, I would like to remind people: These disney Princess films do not take place in a modern time and setting. Most of them take place over a 100 years atrás and are during a time when most people were dead por 40 and half weren't even making it that long. To put it in perspective, the equivalent of a woman...

Hola!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm AprilGhost, and here is a list of people who, in my opinion, look like disney princesses.

A few things, first:
1. I have not cast Pocahontas. This is partly because it is so hard to find Native American models/actresses, but also because she was a real person. I think it's insulting to dreamcast her.
2. Yes, some of these are, in fact, models. I'm not saying that these people should play the princesses; I'm just saying that that's how I imagine them.
3. I haven't dreamcasted Elsa or Merida since I can't find anyone who looks like them.

On with the list!...

We all know the step-sister from cinderela that ends up reforming in the sequels. However, many people seem to have criticisms about her because they feel that she shouldn't have been forgiven por Cinderella, there was nothing to show that she deserved to be redeemed, and that it's ridiculous that she got to be redeemed but Drizella didn't. First of all, I think I need to explain where this idea of anastasia reforming came from. In the original Charles Perrault version of Cinderella, Cinderella's real name was actually Ella. When she became a servant she would sleep por the fireplace to keep...

Okay, so I already did this, but with a different method. This time, I'll just be doing the regular way I always do it. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

Enjoy the article! :)

13. Merida
In my opinion, she definitely isn't ugly, but she's not as pretty as the rest of the disney Princesses here. First, I absolutely amor her curly red hair! It's absolutely gorgeous. I also amor her eyes, they're very pretty, especially with the blue color to them. However, I do have a problem with her head. Her hair is...

13. Snow White
Snow would definitely be higher on my list if her curls were mais defined. I like the idea of her hair styled in a bob with a red bow. Unfortunately, that idea didn't come out too nicely to me.

12. Cinderella
Strawberry blonde is my favorito hair color and Cinderella's burnt laranja hair color is no doubt uniquely gorgeous. Speaking of unique, so are her bangs but I can't say I really like them as they look like plastic to me.

11. Tiana
The little strands of curls that hang down are pretty cute. Although it doesn't look like you can do much with Tiana's hair but tie it...
