Ariel stared into her brother's eyes, trying to follow what her sister had said. "Belle's right, did you get contacts?"
"Were you guys recently brainwashed? Because you're actually agreeing with each other," Charming said, confused. He waved the subject off. "So, um, who's up for a dance?" He and anastasia quickly left the room.
Ariel looked into the terrified eyes of her younger sister. "His eyes were green!"
"And anastasia looks like Mom!" Belle added.
"He swore that he'd never marry a woman that looked like Mom," Ariel breathed.
Melody put her sketchbook down for once. "I think the two of you are just freaking out because your brother is finally getting married."
Ariel glowered at her daughter. "Melody, I think I would know if my brother was making a mistake." She glanced at Belle. "To the ballroom!"

Belle and Ariel found their brother in the ballroom, dancing--tripping, really-- with Anastasia.
Charming grit his teeth as anastasia accidentally stomped on his foot with the glass slipper.
"Ouch, that's gotta hurt," murmured Belle.
"Her shoes are mismatched," Ariel pointed out.
"That's because they had a ball last night, and who ever fit the glass slipper would marry Charming."
"That's a pretty stupid reason for marrying someone," Ariel remarked.
Belle snapped her fingers. "That's it! Anyone could have fit into a glass slipper, so that's the wrong girl Char danced with at the ball!"
"But why would Char marry a complete stranger?" Ariel mused.
Belle looked excitedly at her sister. "You're right. Char WOULDN'T marry a stranger, but someone forced him to. But force is the wrong word. HYPNOTIZE. I've read about it one of my books."
"That probably explains the green eyes!" Ariel realized, grateful that they had it figured out.
Belle nodded. "Right, but we have to figure out WHO hypnotized Charming."
Suddenly, there was a loud THUMP on the floor. Belle and Ariel looked at their brother, who was pulling anastasia off the floor.
"Are you okay?" Charming inquired.
anastasia was dazed for a few seconds, and then she touched her forehead. "Oh! These aren't my shoes! I mean, of course their my shoes..." she sighed. "I just don't know what's wrong with me today."
Charming tried hard to smile. "No, no, it's my fault. I'm afraid I'm not up-to-date on the latest dance steps." He walked toward the Grand Duke, who was pulling out clumps of hair out of nervousness.
He opened his mouth to speak, when the big doors opened.
Snow White appeared, with runny mascara under her eyes.
"Snow!" Ariel greeted, opening her arms for a hug.
But Ariel wasn't the sibling Snow White ran to. It was her brother.

Snow White collapsed into her brother's arms and began blabbering incoherently.
"Prince--we--h-had--fight," she managed to say in between her sobs.
Charming wrapped his arms around her. "Don't cry, Dotty, you're a big girl now."
But that didn't help. Snow White cried even harder, knowing that her brother had called her por her childhood nickname.
Char rubbed her back softly. "You wanna talk about this somewhere else?"
Snow White nodded, but didn't say anything.
Swiftly, Charming scooped up his youngest sister, and carried her to her childhood room, with no word to their confused siblings.
He dropped her on the bed, where she continued to cry on his shirt.
Charming sighed. "So what's this about Prince?"
Snow White could hear the hatred in her brother's voice. "On our way h-here, we just got mad at each other. Then Prince stopped the carriage and just walked away, just like that."
Charming muttered something quietly, it sounded like, "That jack-ass has got some nerve, messing with my little sister..."
Snow White lifted her head from his shirt. "I-I should have listened to you, when you said that thirteen was a young age to get married," she wiped her eyes with her sleeve.
Charming took a deep breath. "Snow, these things happen to everyone. You just have to learn how to go through it, you know? It's like...when Mom died." He whispered that last part.
Snow White looked sympathetically at her brother. She looked for any tears in his eyes, but all she saw were green specks.
"Did you get contacts?" she asked him.
"Why is everybody asking that today?" He said, clearly annoyed.
Snow White didn't answer. Her mind was wandering elsewhere. The past few hours were killing her.
But her brother was worrying her most of all.
