A casting call for extras for the upcoming Clint Eastwood film "Mule" has been announced for the Augusta area.
Filming is set for June 4-12 and will take place on weekdays, according to a Facebook post from Tammy Smith Casting – Atlanta on the Augusta Film Office page. Those chosen as extras will need to be available the whole day.
Hotel staff (front desk, valets, bellhops) – ages 21 to 50
Featured Asian family ages 18 to 60 (pay rate $90)
People with cars that are 1995 to 2005 – ages 18 and over
People with cars that are current years – ages 18 and over
The pay rate is $72, unless otherwise noted, and there is overtime after eight hours. If interested, email projects2@TSCasting.com with the subject line "AUGUSTA."
Applicants must include current and clear photos; one from the chest up including face and one from the knees up, one photo smiling and one without a smile. The email should also include:
Sizes: For men – Jacket size, neck, sleeve, waist, inseam, shoe; for women – dress size, bra size, waist, shoe
The movie is about Leo Sharp, who in 2011 at age 87 was caught on Interstate 94 in Michigan with 104 kilograms of cocaine, according to news accounts. Sharp admitted to making seven trips from Mexico to Detroit for El Chapo’s drug cartel. Sharp was a World War II veteran and a world renowned daylily expert who had never been arrested before. He was sentenced to three years in prison in 2014 but was released in 2015 because he was terminally ill. He died in December 2016.
