cinderela doesn't seem the most obvious choice to base a platform game on and yet there is a nintendo Gameboy Advance título that does just that.

Following the story of cinderela pretty closely, including a number of slightly jerky cut scenes, players guide characters through a variety of side-scrolling levels. Some levels feature Cinderella, some feature Jaq and Gus as the player-controlled character.

The opening level involves cinderela making her way through the pátio de fazenda, quintal, capoeira and surrounding fields gathering apples and feeding horses. It's not the most taxing, nor most fun of levels. The seguinte level, though, is mais appealing and slightly mais challenging and involves controlling Jaq and Gus (who mover as one) through the beams and passages secreted between the walls and under the floors of the house. They bounce on aranha webs, throw things at spiders and avoid jets of hot steam. Then follows a sort of 'boss level' where Jaq has to throw buttons at Lucifer whilst avoiding his swiping paw.

cinderela castelo and Wishing Well

I've written many posts about the various attractions in disney theme parks based around the films I've been watching. Some have been prominent rides such as Snow White's Scary Adventure or Pinocchio's Daring Journey. Others have been obscure areas such as the Fantasia golfing attraction or ephemeral like Bambi's presence in the parks. Some have merely been meet and greets.

Cinderella, however, is a film whose impact on disney theme parks is huge. It forms, after all, the centre-piece of disney World itself - Cinderella's Castle; a massive structure visible for miles around the Magic Kingdom and the hub of the theme park. Cinderella's castelo is also the castelo at the centre of Tokyo Disneyland. Although Cinderella's castelo is replaced por other princess's abodes in the other parks, this central castelo ícone is key to Disney's image.

Cinderella's castelo is an impressive and emotional sight for many visiting disney World. It's iconic white and blue colouring stands out as guests walk down main rua and dominates the Fantasyland area. Because the front of the castelo hosts the staging area for many of the high...

A disney Tale: A young girl is forced into drudgery por her step-family, only to win the coração of the kingdom's Prince and live happily ever after.

disney Hero: Ostensibly, the 'hero' of cinderela is the Prince (never actually referred to as Prince Charming, despite that being what he is generally known as today. Some sources have him named as Henry.). It is he who romances cinderela and desires her as his wife after the ball. But, actually, the real heroes of cinderela - for me - are Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends. They are the one's who rescue cinderela from her attic room. Jaq is also responsible for battling Lucifer and saving many of his rato friends. I amor Jaq and Gus!

disney Heroine: cinderela is the first heroine of a disney movie since Snow White to have a life outside the movie. As a character, she is iconic and forms an integral part of the 'Disney Princess' branding. Now, I had a lot of issues with Snow White as a character and, fortunately, the script and story for cinderela get a lot mais right, although Cinderella's character is tied to the tropes required of her due to being a 'fairy tale princess'. I think a clear difference...

Watching Disney’s live action cinderela was like a fun IMDB® game for me – so many familiar British actors! The kind you can kind of place but aren’t super famous enough to remember their actual names, even for me, whose brain houses all sorts of useless knowledge about movie trivia. For example, you have your Downton Abbey cast members in cinderela (Lily James, aka Lady Rose), evil stepsister Dresilla (Sophie McShera, aka Daisy). Then you also have your Game of Thrones cast in the Prince (Robb Stark or in reality, Richard Madden) and the Captain (Nonso Anozie, a prince of Qarth). Oh and don’t forget Hayley Atwell as Cinderella’s mother (love her in Agent Carter!) and Ben Chaplin as her father (where has HE been?!)

Anyhow, I was quite proud of myself for recognizing everyone. Then of course there are all the powerhouse ACTORS, such as Cate Blanchett as the Stepmother, Helena Bonham-Carter as fairy godmother, Derek Jacobi as the King, and Stellan Skarsgård as the Duke. Quite impressive that disney got all these serious actors to do a fairy tale and Kenneth Branagh to direct it (though I guess he’s forgone his Shakespearean films of late for big blockers...

I didn’t think I would get to go to the ball.
My stepsisters ripped up my dress after all.
Then out of nowhere my Fairy Godmother appeared.
And she told me not to fear.
She said she would take care of everything.
Then she took out her magic wand, and started to swing.
She made me a beautiful carriage out of a pumpkin!
She looked at me and began to grin.
She transformed my rags into the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen.
It was so pretty I could’ve passed as a Queen!
I even had shoes made out of glass.
I was ready to go, at last!
She told me it would only last until midnight,
And I told her that was alright.
At the ball I found my very own Prince,
I can’t stop thinking of him since!
We danced around in each others arms,
For once in my life I didn’t feel as if I were in any harm.
The clock started to chime at my dismay,
I had to go! I had to get away!
The spell would soon be broken,

The earliest version of the story of cinderela originated in China around A.D. 860. It appeared in Miscellaneous Morsels from Youyang por Tuan Ch'eng-Shih, a book which dates from the Tang Dynasty.

The best-known versions were written por French author Charles Perrault in 1697, based on a common folk tale earlier recorded por Giambattista Basile as La Gatta Cenerentola in 1634, and the Brothers Grimm in the early 1800s.

cinderela is the twelfth animated feature in the disney animated features canon. It was released to theaters on February 15, 1950.

Made on the cusp between the classic "golden age" of disney animation of the 1930s and 1940s and the less critically acclaimed productions of the 1950s, cinderela is representative of both eras.

It was the first full-bodied feature produced por the studio since Bambi in 1942; World War II and low box office returns had forced Walt disney to produce a series of inexpensive package films such as Make Mine música and Fun and Fancy Free for the duration of the 1940s.
