Please...I'm trying so hard to understand. Everything you say has bitterness behind it. WHY are you lashing out at us? Have any of us hurt you? Offended you? Harassed you? Ignored you? As far as I know, none of us here is trying to "save" you or convert you. We cannot and WILL not force you to believe in anything, nor would we want to - because the joy of knowing God is something that every person must discover for themselves. Allow me to quote from another answer I wrote to another atheist who had questions... "I think everyone at some point has experienced that strange, indescribable longing for something more, something greater than what we know...like you're homesick for a início you've never known. That longing is a very deep part of who we all are as human beings, and pretending it isn't there won't make it go away. Needs and desires exist because there are things designed to fulfill them. Where there is hunger, there is food. Where there is thirst, there is water. Where there is loneliness, there is love. The fact that I long for something beyond what I see is yet mais proof to me that He exists. Everyone has a God-shaped hole in their hearts, and only He can fill it." cristianismo isn't about going to church or leitura your "holy texts" or following a mere set of beliefs. If you were ever truly a Christian to begin with, you would've known that. Choosing to follow jesus is a very deep and personal choice that takes a lot of thought. It changes you from the inside out, and it's something you include in every aspect of your life, not just "church time". A true Christian knows that it's NEVER about "religion". It's about a relationship. It isn't a "get-out-of-hell" card; it's a "live life to the fullest" invitation. Having said all that, I HIGHLY recommend you check out some of C. S. Lewis's books, especially Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters. Think of Lewis as the "Richard Dawkins" of Christianity. He used to be a hard-core atheist...until God pwned him with his own logic. xD He was an expert in Christian apologetics, and I'm sure he could help answer any perguntas or confusion you have (better than I could, anyway). I'm praying for you, Lost, and I hope that someday you'll be Found again.
