Why should I canvert to cristianismo when it gives me insanaty?

I once was Christian but am no more. Nobody tried to make me Atheist. Nobody seemed to even notice my hints of confusion. I turned Atheist on my own. I practicaly go mad trying to find one good reason that didn't seem null or void to stay Christian. Alas, none came. Why not you give it a try?

Don't do it. If you cherish free-will and individuality, don't do it. I was so stressed out and fragile when i was trying to make sense of the bible. You will be allot better of without the constant fear and guilt hanging over your head.

Dearheart said:
Please...I'm trying so hard to understand. Everything you say has bitterness behind it. WHY are you lashing out at us? Have any of us hurt you? Offended you? Harassed you? Ignored you? As far as I know, none of us here is trying to "save" you or convert you. We cannot and WILL not force you to believe in anything, nor would we want to - because the joy of knowing God is something that every person must discover for themselves.

Allow me to quote from another answer I wrote to another atheist who had questions...

"I think everyone at some point has experienced that strange, indescribable longing for something more, something greater than what we know...like you're homesick for a início you've never known. That longing is a very deep part of who we all are as human beings, and pretending it isn't there won't make it go away. Needs and desires exist because there are things designed to fulfill them. Where there is hunger, there is food. Where there is thirst, there is water. Where there is loneliness, there is love. The fact that I long for something beyond what I see is yet mais proof to me that He exists. Everyone has a God-shaped hole in their hearts, and only He can fill it."

cristianismo isn't about going to church or leitura your "holy texts" or following a mere set of beliefs. If you were ever truly a Christian to begin with, you would've known that. Choosing to follow jesus is a very deep and personal choice that takes a lot of thought. It changes you from the inside out, and it's something you include in every aspect of your life, not just "church time".

A true Christian knows that it's NEVER about "religion". It's about a relationship. It isn't a "get-out-of-hell" card; it's a "live life to the fullest" invitation.

Having said all that, I HIGHLY recommend you check out some of C. S. Lewis's books, especially Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters. Think of Lewis as the "Richard Dawkins" of Christianity. He used to be a hard-core atheist...until God pwned him with his own logic. xD He was an expert in Christian apologetics, and I'm sure he could help answer any perguntas or confusion you have (better than I could, anyway).

I'm praying for you, Lost, and I hope that someday you'll be Found again.

I don't give it a try because I've already given it a try. I was an atheist up until about a ano atrás when I started thinking mais about jesus and life after death. I want to be Christian. It's my choice.

No one can force you to be Christian. People can tell you all dia that you're evil and going to Hell, or that God will punish you as such a sinner and blah, blah, blah. The point is, we on this spot can't force you to be Christian, and similarly, you can't make us be atheists. Religion is a personal choice.

We can hand you multiple versions of the bible and sing hymns in your face until the cows come home, but you ultimately have to make the choice to be or not to be Christian. If atheism makes you happy and no one can convince you otherwise, I can't do anything but wish you the best in life.

Trust me, she did. That's why I'm Athiest, once you put real hard logic, you'll just laugh at any god. Think about it! Almost all religions have an afterlife, but does cristianismo say that? NO! It says it's right and all others are wrong! That right there was the starting of dobt. Then I read "History of the goths". Best type of bible EVER! It speaks 100% truth of my ancestors as well as what happened to them. If anyone says Visigoths and Cosigoths never existed, that I don't exist, then you are Christian because they where around when the so called saveyour came around.

Yep. Mr. Hovind will clear up any perguntas you might have about dinosaurs. They existed alright, and nowhere does that disprove God's existence. Give the Creation Series a whirl, his theories about the dinosaurs, canyons, and the layers of the earth's crust make a lot mais sense than the theories that Evolutionists conjure up. Because he knows the truth, and doesn't base his facts on that pileup of lies and circular reasoning.

Because I'm quite content on being a Christian. If I ever have a problem, I turn to God. If you don't have religion, then what do you put your hope into when you feel hopeless? Kill yourself?

If you can't think of any reasons to become a christian again, then cristianismo isn't for you.

If you do feel lost, there are plenty of other religions that may suit you more, or you could just be an atheist. Having your own spiritual ideology doesn't mean you are wrong or misguided, it just means you have a different view. That's not bad.
