Josie ran.

“Maybe I made a mistake thinking you’d understand!”

“Well maybe I made a mistake
marrying you!”

She ran, not heeding the tempest that tore at her clothes nor caring where she fled to as long as it was someplace far from home. Away from the chaos of her fighting parents and the hopelessness of the choice she was faced with.

“A tumor?”

“...it’s pressing on your brain stem and growing very rapidly. If it isn’t taken care of soon, it will be life-threatening...the surgery, however, would cost you your hearing... Permanently...”

Her coração pounded in time with her feet;...

I'm taking a history course this year, and I was supposed to write an essay on the reasons for success of Christianity. Enjoy!

Today, cristianismo is one of the most wide-spread religions of the world. But its history is filled with bloodshed and violence; early Christians had to endure horrific punishments for their faith. There are many stories of martyrs being stoned to death; of Christians’ bodies being used as torches to light Roman feasts; of people being crucified, sometimes upside-down, simply because they refused to renounce jesus Christ as their saviour. In the midst of such persecution,...

Answer: Stoning is a method of execution during which a group of people, usually peers of the guilty party, throws stones at the condemned person until he or she dies. Death por stoning was prescribed in the Old Testament Law as a punishment for various sins. Both animais and people could be the subjects of stoning (Exodus 21:28), and stoning seems to have been associated with sins that caused irreparable damage to the spiritual or ceremonial purity of a person or an animal.

Some sins that resulted in stoning in the Old Testament were murder (Leviticus 24:17), idolatry (Deuteronomy 17:2–5),...

"Alright fine, he was not a good human teacher. Why should I believe he was the Son of God and not a liar?"

The Bible contains many prophecies about the Messiah written hundreds of years before jesus was born. These include when He would be born, where He would be born and how he would die.

Jesus fulfilled all of these propecies in his lifetime. Some he could contol, such as entering Jerusalem on a donkey, but many others such as being born in Bethlehem or being betrayed for 30 pieces of silver were completely beyond His control.

Beyond all the prophetic evidence, jesus told his followers very...

Why Did the U.S. Government Purchase 30,000 Guillotines?

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years." ~ Revelation 20:4

Last year, I wrote an artigo where I talked about Carrie Fisher's death, because I thought it would be an interesting idea to talk about, especially to close off the year. So, I decided to do the same, but this time, I want to talk about a topic that's been heavily debated por millions across the planet. I'm not trying to be super philosophical, but rather share with you my point of view.

A few days ago, I decided to look up a few vídeos about souls and the afterlife. I look up a video that talked about theories of what could happen. Most of them seemed reasonably beliveable, except for the...

As Esther wandered the streets of Londres with her cousin, she thought of Faith and Chiwen. Chiwen, very... very...well... persistent. Esther couldn't think of another way to describe her. Yes, she did amor Chi-chi very much, but she sometimes not on Esther's nerves. She was constantly trying to bring her to this 'Christ'. She did admire Chi-chi for her persistence, but she did it so often, it felt as is Esther were being nagged. I that's all Christians did, Esther didn't want any part of it.

Would some of you young people like to be a Christian if you could keep it all to yourself and your companions never it find out so that they would not make fun and ridicule? Or if you could be a Christian and not be so different from the world, so that you would not attract attention to yourself as being different?
It is not hard to make a profession of being a Christian among those who amor the lord Jesus, but it is often very difficult in ungodly, worldly surroundings. But in order to stand in such surroundings you must boldly confess whose you are and whom you serve.

Matthew 28:19-20 describes how we must spread the Word of jesus Christ. We should teach everyone—Christians and nonbelievers alike—about God. Tell them to believe and then strengthen their faith. Try to teach as many places as you can. Teach them the rules and poesia of the Bible. It doesn’t matter what they say about your beliefs, you know you’re right and that God is with you.

Remember how I stated that I had gave up on womankind? Well I'm still "iffy" on the marriage thing but here is where this whole thing started:

2 years ago, a Vietnamese girl came to my church. The segundo I saw her...I was like "Whoa...she is HOOOT!" XD well I said that in my head, not aloud. Her name was Tran but she went por Natalie--both cute names. Anyways...I was scared as crap to speak to her, or even sit seguinte to her. I finally got the guts to say something...it was usually just small words like "How are you?" "Whats your name?" blah blah blah...then we started talking on facebook and that...

Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera about the last seven days of the life of Christ before His crucifixion. Critics have given it rave reviews. Even some churches have sung its praises. Some have even hailed it as a means of presenting Christ to young people in a way they will understand and accept.

However, no one who examines it in the light of Scripture can be happy with the opera. It is impossible to see the Superstar as anything but one of the "false Christs" of whom the Lord jesus Christ warned us (Matthew...

That was the pergunta jesus asked the women at the well, as you read in John 4:7. Why would jesus need man to do him a favor in the first place? Is He not the Almighty God who can do whatever He wants? So why would He need to ask a foreign women to give Him some water? Why would He ask you for a favor today?

You can respond like so many others do and say 'just leave me alone, I don't need you' and he probably would. You look at him just like one of these annoying insurance sales men that really don't want to leave you alone until they got you to either buy something from them or throw something...

TRUE STORY

A teenage girl about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends
one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various
experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than
planned, and had to walk início alone. She wasn't afraid because it was
a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep
her seguro from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a
short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down
the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were

Here's a lil something I'd like to talk about here: Science

As lots of you know, I'm a Christian and all that. And well..IMHO, Science itself was never bad or wrong. I like it, so I have nothing against Athiests. It's just that sometimes they go too far with it. I mean, making medicine and trying to help people--that's great. That's AWESOME. But...when they use it to clone and do other things that no human should ever have access to, that's when it's bad. And like, why? Why is it that Atheists trust Science? It's flawed like we all are. We are all imperfect, and science was made por imperfect people. So..why? Why would u trust something that's just as flawed as u are?

Happy Reformation dia everyone! Brothers and sisters, let us rejoyce for today we commemorate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. Exactly on this very day, 500 years ago, in a city of Wittenberg, Germany a certain Augustinian monk has made a history. His name was Martin Luther, and he has truly reformed the Church. It was on October 31,1517, at the eve of the All Saints' Day, or All Hallows' dia back then to be exact, when Martin Luther has made public the proclamation of true cristianismo aka the 95 Theses posted on the church door. It was the dia that has forever change the Church....
