The time had come for him, he knew he had to tell Garth everything before it was too late. Tony summoned Garth to his den. "Son I've never told you the whole story have I? It is time you know." Tony lay down, his legs could no longer hold him up very long. Garth sat close to him.

"I want to tell you the true story about what happened to your mother. You were about 6 months old when we went hunting desperate to find you comida during a severe famine. We came across some caribou and one of them went mad, and while she was trying to protect me your mother was trampled to death, it was then I learned how to fight them because it came after me next. It was horrifying to watch, and I could never urso to tell you what happened but now I must because my time on this earth is almost up." Garth's eyes widened with shock, "no Dad, I need you!" His voice trembled. "Hold me son," Tony said as Garth held his father in his arms.

Tony smiled "it sure is beautiful on the other side son, oh I see your mother there!" Tears welled in Garth's eyes. "I've lived a good life son, and the best part was raising you. If it hadn't been for you I'd have killed myself after your mother died, you gave me my life back again." Tony trembled, he could hear his wife calling to him, he looked back at Garth who's face was beginning to blur, "take good care of Lilly, without her you'll find life is hardly worth living. Tell Humphrey that I amor him too, same with Winston."

Tony began to slip away, "I amor you son!" Those were the last words that ever came out of his mouth. Now his body was whole again and free of pain. His back was healed and he felt young again, he felt like he could run forever, and he did. He and his wife ran side por side up toward the golden light, so bright and beautiful, eternal happiness awaited them there, free of pain and suffering. Tony and his wife howled with joy, their song of amor mixing in perfectly, now they could be together forever and ever.

Garth cradled his father's limp body and whimpered softly, he looked down into his father's ancient scarred face. He had known him forever and reality set in. Never again would he speak to him, never again would he be there to help him as he always had. Garth carefully laid him down and left the cave to inform the rest of the pack that a great Alpha had fallen.
