With each lobo nearing their positions, all they now waited on was for Benjamin and Eight to círculo the heard. Jayne had already signaled the two, The location of the herd was known - about 30 yards ahead and they were in luck, being downwind already, they wouldn't have to change direction or take any longer than they needed to make the trek.

The pack had taken only minutos to get to where the herd rested. Twenty yards between them and the rest of the Lioness' territory was a ravine, only just deep enough to stall the mula deer as they needed to locate various narrow game trails to cruz it.
The hunt team was in luck, the herd hadn't crossed yet and they had one easy direction to run in.

Benjamin had slowed to a crawl and Eight took pace just beside him, catching his breath as quietly as he could. Benjamin ran with a speed that Eight hadn't seen. The old, small Alpha didn't make a sound as he crept along, no breathing nor ruffling of brush or grass, no paw steps, nothing.
Eight did his best to keep as quiet, but it was difficult. Benjamin crawled as quietly as a funeral, his years of experience and skill showed through.
por this time, the two could look through the thick overgrowth of tall grama and see the herd. Just as ever, they were nearly 50 strong.
Benjamin turned to Eight and whispered barely audibly,
"We'll cut off about twenty of them, any mais than that and we risk too much. The others will fã out to the left or right, they'll be gone por morning. We get one shot at this."
His voice was less harsh sounding when it was silent, there was no grating sound to it.
Eight nodded and the two picked up pace to the hind side of the herd's stomping area.

They were massive, each deer must have weighed easily 200 pounds. Hunting these behemoths was no joke, they could pummel a lobo Eight's size with little difficulty.
Through the tall, lightly swaying grama the two lobos hunkered and sat in their positions for just a moment.
"I'll go first, put the fear into em'." Benjamin instructed. It was clear he must have been one of the best hunters in the pack.
"Don't wait too long. When you do, take em' straight up the middle, dividido, dividir em' in two. I'll stay to the right and drive our half away. Just be sure to keep right on them, this isn't a normal hunt."
"Got it." Eight whispered back, watching the small, robusto, forte, cerveja preta lobo crawl progressivo, para a frente another few paces. He knew what he was doing, this much was certain. He had a plan worked out, and knew exactly what weak spots to attack from only a moment of observation.
He stood, now and took off straight into a dead sprint. His small, fast form was barely noticed before he emerged from the taller grama into the Deer's area. Eight kept low and moved forward, keeping an eye on the Blur that was now Benjamin. The Alpha showed no signs of slowing as he bolted, he made no sound either. His form came in direct contact with the first deer in his path, the closest to the edge before it ever noticed he was there. Down the mula Deer came, with an audible Thud as his lifeless body hit the ground.
Eight didn't even see the killing blow it all happened so fast.
A few deer spooked and looked to what had just happened, Benjamin wasted no time in getting the attention of the rest of the herd. He stood atop the corpse and howled loudly. Heads now turned and jerked that way, ears perked, muscles tensed and eyes widened. He had their attention and now, Eight joined in.

The younger lobo did exactly as he was instructed, he headed straight up the middle, biting and gnashing teeth as quickly as he could. Here was the smallest concentration of deer, the path he cut with his teeth went along simply, the herd's mistake; separating themselves up the middle to begin with.
Just as anticipated, the herd broke into two factions, one fleeing to the left, and one to the right.
It took only a moments notice for the herd to straighten up toward Eight. He was taken back for a moment and had to slow briefly as not to get trampled. It was now that he knew that Benjamin was behind him, pushing them up.

From a distance, you could hear hoof beats now, they filled the air with like a continuous thunder. The ground shook as the herd was led, yelps, screaming, barking and growling could be heard across a huge distance, unobstructed por anything as they traveled across the open plain.

Eight kept up as best he could, but found himself losing ground slowly, a moment at a time. Every time the front of the herd that out-ran him would try to veer to the left. Benjamin was on the right and doing just as they had plan, keeping the herd in a tight pack.
Eight was lucky though, the duty wasn't left up to him solely, When a few deer started to separate, a tan flash would come from nowhere and push them back into position before falling back again.

Eight saw this and it filled his chest with pride, pride that he could be a part of this, which in turn, gave his legs strength, his lungs breath and his paws a speed that he'd not know before.
Before he knew it, he was back on his position, barking, biting and growling at the long legs of these beasts.
He felt the fatigue almost completely leave his body - it was no longer a concern whether or not he'd be able to keep up.

They traveled a short distance now, keeping the herd between them constrained, with very little running room, only the rear was left open but Jayne was sure to have that under control.

The others waited just ahead, well concealed from the eyes of the deer, it would only be a short matter of time before the two driving lobos were joined por two more.

This bounty was as good as theirs.

This was something that I did for my composição literária class last ano and it ended up being a bit different from the original Missing Parents so I decided to share it.

It was a calm dia at Jasper Park in the Western Pack. The pack of lobos were going about their day, but in the antro, den of the leader, there was much excitement. It was Father’s dia and Kate and her husband, Humphrey, were busy getting ready for her parents to arrive. Kate’s sister, Lilly, and her husband, Garth, had come to help as well. Humphrey was busy keeping their three pups, Stinky, Claudette, and Runt out of trouble.

It wasn’t...

I decided to add a section for references and callbacks since these stories have quite a few of them. There are a couple of things that I don’t really count as references since they’re pretty much a constant in the movies. One of them is Runt climbing a árvore and the other is Humphrey logboarding, both of which I tried to include at least once in the stories that I could include them in.

Newest Additions

Right away, I made a reference to the segundo movie por addressing the fact that Garth and Lilly were living in the tall grass. There’s a reference to the first movie after Kate finds out...

Now it was time to start the segundo part of Viggo’s plan, which was also based off something else that I made a lot of changes to. Again, it started similar to the piece that had inspired it and relied on Viggo’s main campsite in the Northern Region being destroyed and Viggo looking horribly defeated and in a state that we have never seen him in.

Robert going rogue was an idea I got from the piece that inspired this segundo part of Viggo’s plan, except instead of it being an actual mutiny, it ends up being another massive deception por Viggo, hence why I called this part of the story, “His...

I had also decided to tell the story of what happened to Garth’s mother. I had very briefly touched on it in Missing Parents, but now, I had mais ideas for mais detail and really wanted to tell that part of the story too. First, I had to introduce Garth’s mother before she died so the readers could establish some kind of connection to her and over the course of composição literária the segundo chapter, I found myself emphasizing that Garth had a very special bond with his mother, which I knew would make her death even mais painful.

Since this was essentially Humphrey’s origin story, I couldn’t not...

Chapter 25: The Betrayal

Viggo had just barely gotten back to his base in time. After escaping from the valley, he ran as fast as he could through the woods toward what remained of his campsite in the Northern Region. por the time he finally arrived, half of his upper arm was swollen and the skin was just starting to turn dark.

He stumbled into his tent and immediately began digging through the chest behind his escrivaninha, mesa where he kept the antivenom he had specially gotten for this very scenario. The antivenom did the job and for a mês or so afterward, Viggo took the time he needed to recover from...

Finally! The exerpt for the newest and upcoming story in the A&O franchise. In one year, the story will be released in full, but not as one article. Each chapter will have its own article. Starting today or maybe tomorrow, I'll be releasing character profiles, going into some detail about the new characters in the story. I might also release the first chapter a week or two before the 10 ano anniversary just to reignite the hype around it since we'll be waiting another year, which works out fine since I'm about halfway done with composição literária the story. I hope you enjoy this little bit of Chapter...

The night sky was dark that night, the light of the stars and moon hidden por a thick blanket of jet-black clouds. From the clouds drifted hundreds of thousands of snowflakes, the winter winds guiding them on their journey to the ground. From the soil, a forest of lodgepole pines stood tall, looming over the snowy, Canadian landscape. A brotherly pair of lobos traveled within their shadows, the eldest of the two in the lead. The younger male stuck closely behind his companion, using him as a shield against the blustering wind. Despite this, snow still managed to cling onto his coat. He growled....

Chapter 10: Ride to Victory

As they retreated through the woods and back towards the valley, Humphrey and the others did so in a way so as not to lose the enemy, but also didn't let them get too close. They just needed to lure them back to the pack and then the real battle would begin.

As they reentered the territory, the lobos stopped and turned around to face back into the woods as the humans and the remaining cachorros emerged. Humphrey and the others stood with a proud, disciplined, almost militaristic stance, waiting for the trap to be sprung. When the humans appeared out of the woods, they...

Chapter 4: Revenge of a King

The rest of the group was hiding in the bushes just outside the pack borders when they heard Humphrey's terrible scream. The worst part was the fact that they couldn't do anything about it.

Back in the den, one of King's henchwolves entered the cave.

"Sir," he said.

King looked up with a furious look on his face.

"I thought I asked for complete privacy!"

"Sorry sir," the lobo said. "But there are several lobos approaching through the trees."

"Ahh!" King growled in frustration. The lobo quickly left the cave so as to avoid his master's fury.

King looked down at Humphrey,...

Special thanks to:

TimberHumphrey for the idea that Winston and Eve took him in.

jhilton0907 for the idea that Humphrey was relocated as a pup.

Chidori1334 for idea to bring Hutch back, the idea that Humphrey was an orphan, the idea to bring Daria back, and for the idea that Cando and Hutch found Humphrey.

Chapter 2: Pack Meeting

That night, Humphrey didn't sleep too well. He was continuing to think about his parents and was talking in his sleep as he did so.

"Mom. Dad. No, don't leave. Help!"

Outside the den, Kate and Winston were quietly talking.

"We can't keep it a secret any longer," Winston said...
