They kept walking and then they came home. They ate their caribou, and went to bed. That night, Kate couldn't sleep. She kept tossing and rolling around in her sleep. She finally woke up with a shock. She shook Humphrey's leg. "Humphrey! Humphrey wake up!" she said. Humphrey began talking in his sleep. "No Mooch, no! Don't dog-pile me!" he mumbled.

Kate finally gave up. "I guess I just need some fresh air" she said to herself. She got up and walked out of her den. The night was cold and dark. The bad thing was, it started to rain and thunder rumbled and lightning hit the sky. "Oh gee, that makes me feel better." she told herself. The wind became very strong, and now, Kate was forcing herslf so she could walk.

Then she heard something. She froze dead in her tracks, and looked around. "Who's there?" she asked. No answer. She kept walking, but was being mais cautious. She heard the same rustling again, and then two Eastern lobos jumped out of the bushes and knocked Kate unconcious. Then they took her away.

The seguinte morning, Humphrey woke up with a smile, which turned to a curious face. "Kate?" he asked. He went out looking for her, but he didn't find. He went to Winston. "Hey Winston? Where's Kate?" he asked. "Kate? I don't know. I haven't seen her since last night." he told Humphrey. "Well, I'm gonna keep looking." Humphrey tod Winston. Humphrey walked in to the forest, and called out Kates name many times. Still, no answer. He found tracks and followed them. They soon ended, and what as at the end was a few drops of blood. . .
