Once again, I get to see Grant in the frontline and also Melinda. Being one of the most awesome female characters in the marvel universe I got to see her kick major butt in the episode, even without the Staph I think she could have taken that chick.
The episode starts off talking about Asgard. We got to see Asgard as well as the castle. We also got to see Thor, just not his face and I was hoping that maybe this would be the episode where we would see either Thor or maybe even Jane.
This episode was a fallout episode which resulted in the crew cleaning up the effects of what happened in Thor: The dark world. I haven't seen that movie yet but it's on my list and the good thing about this episode is that it didn't give any of the information out about the movie, so no spoilers.
We also found out that the staph that was found was not Chitari but Asgardian and I got my hopes saying 'Yes, Coulson is going to call in Thor to help with this mission.' but then he said nope, Fury says that Thor is out of reach, so my mind went to Jane, nope, Eric, nope and then I thought maybe Darcy. Still nope. it was actually an old friend of Coulson's who they went to.
I was a little disappointed but quickly got over that when they found out that he was in fact an Asgardian.
And here I thought that Thor was the only Asgardian that came to earth.
So not only did this episode have major nods to the realm of Asgard but we got to learn a bit mais about Agent Ward.
After he touched the staph, it tapped into his dark place and I we got vivid flashbacks of a young agent ward and his brothers. especially the baby brother he always protected when he was younger from the older brother that always tormented them.
His baby brother was in a well and I wasn't too sure if Grant got that rope to him fast enough. but it does seem as though the kid could have drowned and that is a major dark place for Grant.
So no geral, global this episode was one of the finer ones, packed full of violence and action. the pace wasn't at all slow and in fact I thought it went a little too fast because before I knew it I wanted more.

(This may be a spoiler if you haven't seen it yet)
Let's start with the very first part. The trucks levitating in the air and then when Agent Mack managed to pull up the screen with his truck, I thought that was the coolest truck ever.
Through out the show, Agent Ward made me fall even mais in amor with him and his interactions with Skye made me smile. Totally team Ward/Skye.
David Conrad as the bad guy I was not expecting. thought that maybe we were getting a good guy until I learned the truth.
Then Skye, I kept thinking, 'oh no. She's not playing them. She turned on S.H.I.E.L.D.' and of course like any good spy, she played her cards right and got what she needed.
This was por far my favorito episode so far.
