TV TROPES ON GRANT WARD AND BOBBI MORSE

I have been aware that a good number of Marvel fãs have been in a tizzy over the Grant Ward character from "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.". But I had no idea that this "celebration of toxic masculinity" would lead to some misleading views or "

facts" about him.

What brought about this artigo in the first place? It all started with the website known as TV TROPES. While leitura the website's page for "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.", it had this to say about Ward and his encounter with S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird in the series' Season Two episode called (2.22/2.23) "S.O.S.":

[i]"(Ward) Has killed the most named protagonists on the show, including Victoria Hand, Eric Koenig, and Rosalind Price. Furthermore, he successfully tortures and comes very close to killing Bobbi, likely the team’s biggest badass (and Hunter as well, for that matter). While he ultimately fails in killing her, he succeeds in heavily injuring her to the point of breaking her morale in her job. It’s unlikely Bobbi has ever faced anything else like that in her...

"AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." AND THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF SEASON TWO (2014-2015)

I might as well put my cards on the table. I did not like Season Two of "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.". In fact, I almost despised it. But what I despised even further is this belief among televisão viewers and critics that Season Two was an improvement over the series’ first season. This told me that today’s society has no real concept of what constitutes good or bad storytelling.

After the Season One finale, (1.22) "Beginning of the End", first aired, I made a prediction that the producers and writers would respond to the complaints about the show’s slow storytelling and give them what they want in the following season. When I first saw the Season Two premiere, (2.01) "Shadows", I saw to my disappointment that Joss Whedon’s Mutant Enemy, Marvel and disney did exactly that. "Shadows" was a travesty for me. But the worst was yet to come. por the time the series’ mid-season finale (2.10) "What They Become" had aired, I was ready to throw in the towel for this series. So, what kept me watching "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." after that horrible mid-season...

"AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." SEASON TWO - AT MID-POINT

Ever since the segundo season of Marvel's "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.", many televisão viewers and critics have waxed lyrical over their belief over the series' improvement from Season One. And yet . . . the ratings for the show seemed to reflect differently from this view. Regardless of the opinions of others or the ratings, I have my own views about the show's Season Two.

I am going to be blunt. I do not like Season Two of "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.". In fact, it has turned out to be a major disappointment for me. Last season, many fãs and critics complained about the show's pacing and slow revelation of the season's main story arc. For them, Mutant Enemy's handling of Season Two's story arc has improved a great deal. I disagree. I had no problems with the development of Season One's story arc. For me, it was no different from the formats for anterior Sci-Fi/Fantasy serial televisão shows like "BABYLON 5", along with Mutant Enemy's "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER" and "ANGEL". All three shows began their story arcs for each season slowly and eventually build up the story arc to a mind boggling...

I just finished watching the latest “AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.” episode, [i](2.10) “What They Become”[/i[ . . . and I am filled with rage.

CAST MEMBER KILLED

The series just killed off Antoine Triplett, the character portrayed por B.J. Britt. The other black character on the show, Alphonse MacKenzie, is currently some kind of Inhuman zombie. The ironic thing is that both B.J. Britt and Henry Simmons were seriously underused this season, and Mutant Enemy fucked them over even mais in the past two episodes.

After tonight’s episode, I realized that I am now through with “AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.”. I am through with IT. I am utterly disgusted with this show. I am disgusted with the Whedons and I am disgusted with Maurissa Tancharoen. They mishandled both the Antoine Triplett and Alphonse Mackenzie characters during the first half of this segundo season. Then they killed off Trip and transformed Mack into some kind of monster. And yet, that macho PIECE OF SHIT known as Grant Ward is still alive. Right now, I have no hopes for Don Cheadle in the segundo “AVENGERS” movie. And the producers of this show can go to...

"AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." (2.01) "Shadows" Commentary

Ohmigod! Did "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." lose its sense of humor? I realize that the show is supposed to take a darker turn, but they seemed to be overdoing it.

After an hora of viewing of the Season Two premiere, (2.01) "Shadows", I realized that the only flash of real humor came from Antoine "Trip" Triplett. The episode revealed that Jemma Simmons left the agency during hiatus. And we do not know the circumstances that led her to finally leave. This is a scenario that should have happened either in the Season One finale, (1.22) "Beginning of the End" or in this episode. Instead, it happened off screen. And what was up with that speech from new S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, Phil Coulson near the end of the episode? He sounded as if he had a burr up his ass.

The scene between Skye and Ward was simply wince inducing. Were they trying to make Ward seductive? How can I be brutally frank? I never really cared about Ward. In fact, what was he doing there in the first place? I doubt that he knows everything about HYDRA. I even doubt that he knows everything that Garrett knew....

"AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: THIS IS LOVE?"

Ever since the middle of Season One of Marvel's "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.", there has been a fandom dedicated to the relationship between two of the series' characters: former hackivist/turned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Skye (no surname mentioned) and Agent Grant Ward. And despite the amount of attention dedicated to this potential romance on the Internet and in the media, I have found myself wondering if I should support it or not.

The relationship between Skye and Ward began in (1.01) "Pilot", the series' very first episode. Despite being a member of a hacktivist group called Rising Tide, Skye ended up being recruited por S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson and his newly formed team (which included Ward) track down a man named Mike Peterson, who had recently acquired super powers. Coulson assigned the no-nonsense Ward to serve as Skye's S.O. (Supervising Officer) and train her.

During Season One's first half, Ward trained Skye; while she responded with quirky jokes and mild flirtation. Then in the final scene of (1.08) "The Well", Ward began an affair with another member of Coulson's team...

Triplett
So as we all found out Agent Triplett is the grandson of a howling commando. Seeing as the only proof that we have is that the only African American in the howling commandos to fight Hydra was Gabe Jones (though there is no proof that he was the only african american) but yeah, That his is grandfather and I find that amazingly cool.

Gabe Jones: In 1943, Jones was captured por HYDRA and placed in a cell with other allied prisoners. When Captain America single-handedly assaulted the facility in which he was prisoner, Jones, along with his companions, broke free and wreaked havoc on the HYDRA soldiers and the base, coming back to US military base immediately after.

Shortly after their breakout, Jones and his comrades were invited to cadastrar-se a special elite squadron, led por Rogers himself. Jones, after a brief conversation in French with Jacques Dernier, happily accepted. Along with the other Howlers, Jones took part of every assault against HYDRA, and it was Jones that took HYDRA scientist Arnim Zola into custody. Jones was present at the final assault against HYDRA at Johann Schmidt's fortress, and was one of the last people to speak with Captain America before...

Okay. So i haven't written an artigo on here in forever and the recent events have me reeling. First off, everyone on here knows that Agent Grant Ward is my baby. i amor him mais than anything, Since episode one I was in amor with him. His demeanor, his look, his gracefulness his attitude. To me he could do no wrong but after finding out that Hydra had infiltrated SHIELD and Grant is working for them. I don't know anymore.

First. I have this thing where I don't think he's actually working for Hydra, that maybe he and Coulson planned something when he spoke to him and told him about Garrett. That's my head canhão and i'm sticking with it. I mean, there's no way right? Skye turned her back on her faction and working for SHIELD. So you know.

Second, There's no way right. It might be my denial about the whole thing. Seeing as he's my favorite, I am delusional that he could do no wrong. I Don't want him to be evil. I can't handle it if he is.

Third. Okay this has nothing to do with him but Hydra. Like for 70 plus years they have been in SHIELD and no one freaking noticed? Hello, Tony did a procurar of SHIELD in avengers to find out their secrets...

"AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.": THE LAST STAND AGAINST MEDIOCRITY

The age of serial drama or adventure is over. It is over. I came to this conclusion after learning the dismal ratings for the last episode of ABC's "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." called (1.10) "The Bridge". And ironically, my statement is not a criticism directed at the series or its latest episode.

I recently learned that the ratings for "The Bridge" had dropped considerably. Many fãs would see this as a sign of the show's not-so-sensational quality. I realize that "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." is not flawless. There is no such thing as a flawless show. But it has the potential to become a first-rate one, as the quality of its composição literária grow with time. But judging from the reaction to the show from the past two months, I can clearly see that American televisão viewers and critics now lack the patience to deal with a serial drama. They will not allow shows like "S.H.I.E.L.D." to develop at a steady pace. They want instant perfection right off the bat.

May contain spoilers

Once again, I get to see Grant in the frontline and also Melinda. Being one of the most awesome female characters in the marvel universe I got to see her kick major butt in the episode, even without the Staph I think she could have taken that chick.

The episode starts off talking about Asgard. We got to see Asgard as well as the castle. We also got to see Thor, just not his face and I was hoping that maybe this would be the episode where we would see either Thor or maybe even Jane.

This episode was a fallout episode which resulted in the crew cleaning up the effects of what happened in Thor: The dark world. I haven't seen that movie yet but it's on my list and the good thing about this episode is that it didn't give any of the information out about the movie, so no spoilers.

We also found out that the staph that was found was not Chitari but Asgardian and I got my hopes saying 'Yes, Coulson is going to call in Thor to help with this mission.' but then he said nope, Fury says that Thor is out of reach, so my mind went to Jane, nope, Eric, nope and then I thought maybe Darcy. Still nope. it was...

So I know I haven't done one these in a while and I thought I would since 1x07 had to be one of my favoritos and I know you all know why.

Yes, it was a Grant centered episode and Fitz. My two favorito men. And yes I almost cried when I heard there wouldn't be an extraction and it was basically a suicide mission, t got better when I learned that the Calvary would saving them.

The episode started off nicely, we got to see the hub and what was so special and then lets not forget the other shield agents that made their mark in the Marvel comic universe.

I don't really have much to say on it, it was a little slow for me but other than that it was fine.

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!

The show started off like every episode, with the case of the week. This one contained a pyro technic that reminded me a lot of the pyro manic from x-men. and then the girl with the flor dress shows up, Names him, Mentions Captain America and then kidnaps him. Now with that.

I literally screamed when I heard her mention Steve Rogers, Captain America. Because I mean, aren't what they doing with these guys is the same as they did with Steve? the Super serum seems to be what they are using but are trying to perfect it. it was fine when Steve used it so why is it suddenly dysfunctional? That had me wondering if maybe the good boné, cap will make an appearance.

And then we find out that Skye had tipped off one of the Hacktivist that got Chan (The pyro) kidnapped in the first place. and that they had a past. She was then arrested, the truth came out and I couldn't take the hurt that Grant was feeling. it was evident on his face that he was hurt por her betrayal. they all were.

(Maybe be a spoiler if you haven't seen it)

Once again Agents of Shield started off amazing. At first I thought that the guys in the red mask were working with the agent until the train where Akela Amadour, The person that Coulson trained is taking them out and robbing places.

This episode had everything that we came to amor in the marvel filmes and even a little funny words from Skye to Grant. My favorito being 'you're a robot, can you do that?'

It heated up mais when it was discovered that Akela was a ticking, that there was a kill switch inside of her. That's where Fitz-Simmons had to step in and remove the thing.

the time after that Akela began wearing an eye patch and all I could think of was Nick Fury.

But Akela seems to know things that Coulson's team doesn't. She could figure out that this wasn't the same Coulson that she knew. She knew that they did something to him.

Which has me wondering what exactly did they do to him? and why is it such a big mystery?

Let's start with the very first part. The trucks levitating in the air and then when Agent Mack managed to pull up the screen with his truck, I thought that was the coolest truck ever.

Through out the show, Agent Ward made me fall even mais in amor with him and his interactions with Skye made me smile. Totally team Ward/Skye.

David Conrad as the bad guy I was not expecting. thought that maybe we were getting a good guy until I learned the truth.

Then Skye, I kept thinking, 'oh no. She's not playing them. She turned on S.H.I.E.L.D.' and of course like any good spy, she played her cards right and got what she needed.

This was por far my favorito episode so far.

As soon as I saw the first episode, actually as soon as I saw the previews I knew that I would like Special Agent Grant Ward.

He's everything that I've seen in anterior shows like this. Smart, dedicated to the job and not really a team player. Everything I amor in guys like him.

As the show progress, I'm sure that I will find him even mais likable.

The actor, Brett Dalton does an amazing job portraying this character that it's hard not to like him. as with every other character on the show.
