Guys don't worry about the seguinte episode. Am pretty sure Damon chooses a human life with Elena. Most likely something bad is gonna happen to Elena because of which either she leaves town for her safety or has been put in some kind of danger which keeps her absent from s7. Posted over a year ago

@teampetrova: Separating twins to hide them, even if it is from the uncle and not the father, reminds me of “Star Wars”, but I otherwise like the idea. I would also like Delena adopting and raising the children in the end if something happened to Jolaric. But that is still far away anyway, and I also don’t think the story likely to go there. Although it could explain why Damon still needs his vampire powers – to protect Elena and the twins. And being a protector and especially saving Elena sounds very likely as a reason for him to stay a vampire. over a year ago

@HaleyDewit: I don’t understand the sobrenatural rules, but when I thought that the cure caused Katherine to age rapidly because of her real age, I was told that the problem was that Silas sucked it from her before Amara drank it from him. And Damon also mentioned to Alaric that he and Elena would be fine as long as no vampire fed on him. Again, I am confused and not sure in this matter, but there seem to be problems when a cure “wanders” through too many vampires. Or Kai’s body could be destroyed, its witchpireness could affect the cure or whatever other scenario. I am really not good at predicting storyline details, but this is how I understand the problem with the workings of the cure now. over a year ago
