A fourteen Jacob walked silently through his parents home, hold a freshly made clay pot in his hands, the leaned down against the mural and listened to their conversation.
"We have to earn mais money, what we are earning now, it isn't enough." His father sighed and relaxed in his chair. Jacob slipped from the mural and walked over to his father.
"Look dad..I finally finished the pot you wanted me too...." Jacob handed the clay figure over to his father. He closely inspected the figure and smashed it against the ground making a clattering noise.
"How did you expect me to sell that! It wasn't even the right size" his father pointed to the shattered clay on the floor.
"Oh Harold, be easy on the boy." his mother put her hands on his shoulders and pushed Jacob along. "Go to bed, tomorrow starts your first dia of school at the Academy!" Jacob scowled and trudged to his room, but ran into his uncle. Jacobs face lit up when he saw his uncle.
"Hi uncle Don!"
"Hey kiddo." He patted Jacobs head and pulled his hat off, "Here, I want you to have this. I'm leaving for war tomorrow. You take good care of it for me, okay? I've had this for a long time." his uncle put the hat on Jacobs head and smiled. "You look good sport." his uncle got and walked into the same room as his parents. Jacob skipped into his room and climbed into bed.

Jacob sat on the cozinha mesa, tabela eating cereal and watching the TV across the room. The cereal bowl dropped from his hands and clattered to the floor at the news of his uncles death. Tears dripped onto down as Jacob darted out the door. His eyes turned red and shadows swirled underneath his feet, he ignored the darkness and kept running, not knowing and caring where he went. Jacob slammed into a thug and fell back, his hat landing behind him.
"Well, what do we have here?" the thug picked up Jacobs hat and put it on. "A nice hat." He grinned. Jacob snapped up,
"Give it back!" Jacob reached for it, but was smacked away por the thug.
"Big mistake." Jacob hissed out as shadows knocked the hat off the thug and back onto Jacobs head. "Get rid of him." Jacob waved him off and the shadows pulled him in, permanently

Scene 2:
"You are a good man." Barbara said once more, firmly.
"Thanks, Babs." Sam said softly, looking into the red-head's blue eyes. Barbara returned the gaze. Sam leaned progressivo, para a frente and brushed a strand of hair put of her face. "You are one of the best people I have eve met in my life." Sam said softly. "I'm glad we're friends Barbara."
The red-haired girl smiled and leaned forward, pressing her lips slightly to Sam's. Sam reached one hand into her fiery hair and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss before breaking off and standing up. "We tried this before. It didn't work out."
"Yeah..." Barbara said, looking to the side. "Sorry."
"Me too." Sam said, slipping on his mask and jumping from the window.
Barbara took a deep breath and about a full sixty segundos before returning to her computer.
